  1. I was recently taking to the owner of a hire company, he said they demoed the TW 9 inch turn table, but in order to save weight they cut back on metal........ after 12hrs there was visible stress marks on the main chassis....
  2. Peter, Can you do the transit sides as a kit? I'm in scotland and it would be a fair drive. Is it possible to fit them myself or have a local do it? also is there an option of a half roof? Regards, Brett
  3. They bloody well do do this and it winds me right up! I've been on the same site 4 times knocking out trees as different stages of the development progress. mus'nay winge though, get paid for 4 separate jobs.
  4. trundling down the road one day in my vauxhall astra, a pigeon flew right in front of me and I blew it apart, I thought this was the funniest thing and continued on my way in a cloud of feathers with a laugh in my belly and a tear in my eye. Until about 2 minutes later when a roe deer vaulted the wall and wrote the bloody car off. Not really a believer in karma but I had to think.......
  5. I was in your position not so long ago, I bit the bullet and went for a brand new 6 inch roller feed diesel, so far i think its the best decision i've made. when i compare what we were spending on hire machines, time lost etc. having the chipper changed every thing. I would hate to be in a position where I had spent all i had on a second hand machine then find out its not reliable.
  6. I'll give you a good price to come and dispose of it for you.
  7. telescopic sights
  8. this sounds interesting, mine are kept in a steel storage container and it can get mighty warm in there, might try draining tanks before putting away did you replace the tank vents?
  9. We don't, they are stored horizontal on a shelf
  10. we have 2 komi units a km90 & km100, every time we grab them to use we have to strip out the air filters and shake out the fuel which is saturating them before we can get them to start. once running we have no probs until we go to use them the next time. Whats that all aboot then?
  11. I did exactly the same on my hols but cant up load photos for some reason, will try later
  12. I honestly cant think of a better way to end a hard week than to strim through a fermenting bag of dog crap. This modern day phenomena of the 'crap in a bag' gives us an interesting insight into the human mind, "So I'm going to be a responsible member of society and clean up the mess that my dog makes and put it in a bag, did every one see me do that? good. Now when no one is looking I'm going to toss it into those bushes over there to act as a faecal land mine so some unsuspecting sod can end up wearing it." Well done people, keep it up, you'll make me proud.
  13. where the devil cant go, he sends a woman.
  14. I often think that the most dangerous part of the job is driving to it!
  15. This is a top idea, but unless you've already spoken with a publisher you may be shocked at the actual retail price, you have to be sure to sell a mountain of books to hit 10-15 per unit, my mates book came out at 45 per unit.
  16. It makes me ashamed to have started this thread to think that someone would post such a stupid and insensitive comment as this.
  17. I just recently heard of a local company who supply to the biomass market importing chip from Scandinavia, they claim they cant get it in this country so cheap. Comes in on barges
  18. I've had people come over to complain about the noise and then ask me to come over and price some work for them. Its all good. I think the complaining was just a pretext.
  19. also take into consideration that there are many types of climbing shoe, some stiff for standing on small edges and some supper supple for smearing, as previous post said, they aint cheap I can spend £80 - £150 every 4-6 months when climbing regularly.
  20. Scarpa Crux approach shoe, wouldn't use them for tree climbing though or any of my rock shoes, much prefer to have a rigid sole boot.
  21. holy mother of clogged arteries.......... speechless.
  22. think it would cost a good bit more than £150.00
  23. jesus! what do you think that would cost?
  24. No worries mate, I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks anyhoo
