dealt with 14 trees today , i put the tack in for the horse but was able to barrow a backhoe so did it in 3 hours, when a machine is bust you do miss them as our backhoe has had it

I totally agree as we in a same situation at home, and I can not agree enough, it has it pro and cons and it is nice to be near the yard but not on top of the house, a as we have competition horses and one Draft horse (for the woods), as well a farm to run along with lots of other uses the yard gets used for, and there is a house in the yard, with a youngish family, but you can spend hours in the yards, though the house in the yard does make you stop working big bits of kit to late un less you too much to do, though they also work for us. Ps build your banks better

valtra came from a forest heritage and went in to agri, the rest it is the other way, and there is no such thing as a standard tractor with valtra as they are all made to order. 2 foot throttles ( one facing back for use with a crane ) reverse drive metal fuel tanks forest cab for using cranes diferent pick up hitches forest tyres and rims along with different tranmition

i would get a mains electric fencer and use high tentile wire, 2 strand works but it need to be visiblable (if it not got any thing semi solid looking behind it) so run you old tape along side the high tentile, as the conduuctors in the tape aways brake, so the high tentile is acting as the conductor, lasts and it is easy to hang a real off for strip grasing , though get an over sized unit as rugs can act as an insulator , and they also respet the fence more, ps mains are cheeper to run and more reliable
