  1. Once the grant funding of any sort is mentioned, forget about anything being feasible. Once tax payer funds are used it is time to stick a fork in it:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  2. Of course the customer will expect the new customary discount for providing power to charge your batteries easy-lift guy
  3. I did like the yellow safety tape at the end of the video, at least the camera man did not become part of the action. easy-lift guy
  4. The one on one comparison between the two saws was at best incomplete. I was expecting an actual run out of both saws until there was no more wood to cut or one or the other models finally stopped due to no fuel or charge. At least I could make up my mind as to which model will actually last longer for a specific job. easy-lift guy
  5. Greetings arbboy, Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  6. Lets look at the facts. First this took place in California. Fact Two the person in question had a bottle of adult beverage on his person. Third and final fact between stupid car chases and slow news cycles, I would expect nothing less from this part of the country. Completely normal, SOP for the media and authorities. easy-lift guy
  7. If it sounds to good to be true it more than likely is false. Contact the Bulgarian embassy in London. They should be able to confirm weather it is real or fake. easy-lift guy
  8. Perhaps they had to much to drink?, after all you did say the delivery was to a Pub. easy-lift guy
  9. Greetings Tucky from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  10. For the record Washington, Oregon have voted to allow up to 1/2 oz for personnel use. No age discrimination. The repercussions from this decision will be far reaching and extremely dangerous for the average citizen who will have to shoulder additional cost across the board for a really stupid election result. I hope the law will be repealed, when clearer minds prevail. Excluding the dopes that actually got it on a ballot and voted it into law. easy-lift guy
  11. Good for you, Well done. easy-lift guy
  12. Dont you temp me!, by the way, hows business? easy-lift guy
  13. Steve, I have to file a complaint against WorcsWuss, Unless he is a paid sponsor for ArbTalk I don't want his new business advertising easy-lift guy
  14. I believe I now understand your point. The employees in this case are hired as independent contractors for x number of hours per week. If circumstances such as weather affect the amount of time actually on the job, I guess the answer is how one handles the situation on a case by case basis. My suggestion was more tongue and cheek as opposed to being unreasonable. easy-lift guy
  15. Felix, calm down. My happiness has nothing to do with my opinion regarding this subject. As I stated earlier, living in a Right to work state allows my company to hirer who I want at a minimum wage or more. I do not need to hire contract labor, and I don't need to answer to a union or the government, not yet anyway:sneaky2:. In regards to contracts and how they are written loop holes and or exceptions can and do exist. Like I stated earlier your labor laws and contract law are different than our laws here in the USA, especially here in Florida. I believe your using my quote out of context since I don't believe I was Referencing contract labor laws. I was referencing my own business policies and procedures. Since my customers have no issues with said policies and procedures I continue to move forward and keep my customers and dealers happy:thumbup1:. easy-lift guy
  16. All the more reason or tort and insurance reform on either side of the pond. easy-lift guy
  17. Contractual labor laws are different in your country. Since I live and work in a Right to work state this is not an issue. If a company agrees to purchase product from myself and than decides to offer me less than the agreed price that would really be stupid if not impossible. All of my over seas accounts are prepay. Any accounts try that stunt here would really be cutting their own throats since their competition will just buy their stock to keep the customer happy.. easy-lift guy
  18. Continue employement:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  19. I agree with GardenKit on this one. I believe brick and mortar businesses will have obvious advantages and while one has time additional work on the side is helpful as well. I would suggest a different approach all together if feasible consider a mobile repair service. This would be an on call business and a decent truck with everything needed to keep up with service calls would be a must. Of course since your already working on generators of various sizes I guess you offer pick up and delivery services, or perhaps you should?. Yes you would have to charge more and if the customer can get his kit fixed far sooner than later while not loosing Time, I say go for it. You won't know until you do! easy-lift guy
  20. I agree, further more I would make sure that all hired employees know up front that once the busy work has been exhausted they will still have a job to return to just wait for the call back to work. Employers cannot be held accountable for Acts of God. Of course I am not sure if your labor laws protect employers from common sense easy-lift guy
  21. Only problem with scotch guard is that the product has to be reapplied after every laundry:thumbdown:, can get a little expensive. The Gortex uniforms seem a better investment and will still allow your body stay dry and warm. Just remember to still keep yourself hydrated. easy-lift guy
  22. Would not waste my money on django. Poverty pimps and Race baiters are having a field day over here. I choose not to repeat what has been said by some of the actors and the director of the movie. easy-lift guy
  23. I for one enjoy the chat room and visit when ever I can. General conversations and information exchanged is healthy when it comes to maintaining a dialog between fellow members. Of course some folks may seem intimidated when they first enter and that is normal. Putting ones thoughts to your fingers and keyboard just takes practice, like most anything else. easy-lift guy
  24. I believe the bridge tender should have been sacked on this one:lol: easy-lift guy
  25. If its not broken don't fix it. Reads like your only producing enough wood for yourself anyway?. Many firewood producers on this site are cranking out hundreds of cords every year with all the gear they need. Unless you discover one day that your body has given up on you, which it will I would just pace myself and enjoy while you can. Stay warm. easy-lift guy
