  1. A richards one as i have fitted many and always got on with them inlike others that are modified Td5 ones just my preference and i know others will say thay have had Fitment issues All replacment chassis will have the odd fitment issue. mainly due to landrovers build quality lol or distinctly wide tollerence margins should i say ! no two 90/110/130/ defender or puma will be the same ! trust me try sticking different doors on them or lining up pannels ! its good fun !
  2. Try finding a recent copyof John Nix farm management pocket book or look up the current AWB Agricutural Wages Board rates ?
  3. Came into our yard today my bussiness partner sent him on his way !
  4. Fair comment its Just my way of wanting a job to be / look right thats all !
  5. Im sorry to be a killjoy but it know looks like you have a knocked of Td5 with that crossmember ? i know im fussy but that and the wrong gearbox crossmember would make me think twice if i came to buy a similar ages vehicle. just my opinion but we all free to choose what and who we use. not unsuall for a snag list sometimes things just happen ! ill stick with me like for like Galved replacements !
  6. i would personally question the V% and legality of the GVW etc
  7. Cool work Sam just would worry me RE the weight issues ! i know a guy that would fit rear air suspention ) that woud keep vosa away i bet lol !
  8. HA HA Sam how are you ! Try asking Richard at trumpton he knows a couple of peoples ! loz could ask him !
  9. i have a gx84 best thing in world for my jcb8016
  10. Seen to much dammage caused by people overtightening nuts bolts set screws cap screws etc ! Re the Aldi torque wrenches and the screwfix cheepys you would be better of with a cold toffee wrench than these they are destined to die within minutes of use ! Decent wrenches are not to pricy and will last years kept calibrated and could save £ssss in repair costs and alsio reduce the risk of injury from sheared fixings !
  11. Well i remove them fro troubled motorists ! suprising how many people dont know about them and are supprised at the costs to "replace" the unit which is a service item after so many miles ! well there are ways of removing them and mapping the info off of the ecu and guess what afterwards most of the time the car drives much better and improvements in MPG are gained ! its a filter lol so its like trying to breath through a brick ! not good !
  12. we did my 110 hicap in 17 hours straight drove into workshop drove out 17 hours later on new chassis
  13. I think its a case of Natural selection those of us with a bit of common sense will stay away and remain intact those that are possibly lowering the gene pool well hopefully contraptions along these lines will help to er reduce incress the level in the pool lol
  14. Right kerosene is 28 second oil this is its viscosity rating diesel/gas oil usld is 35 second viscosity the lubericating sulphur is missing from most nowadays as EU law dictates it the problem using 28sec Kerosene in a diesel engine is that it burns at a faster rate therefore puts out more heat this heat is the killer to a diesel engine its possible by the use of an additive oil such as two stroke or engine oil or even veg oil to reduce the temperature of the burn. Diesel or 32sec gasoil is all the same nowadays as from jan 2010 all gasoil/ diesel / red diesel supplied for use in machinery has to be ULSD (ultra lo sulphur Diesel) the reduction of sulphur is for pollution reduction and due to the fitment od such devices as Cataltic convertors SCR catalysts and DPFs (diesel particulate filters) to modern engines in order to meet stringent Euro emmisions regs at type approval any of the above can be harmed by using incorrect fuel ! The introduction of the USLD has caused an increase in machinery fuel pump issues and injector issues due to the reduces lubricating qualitys of the fuel base stock old engines liked this inbuilt lubrication they will and do show wear from its removal. Diesel and kerosene are two different products distlilled at different temperatures in the refining tower at a refinery there is no adding of oil to kerosene to produce diesel. all pump fuel and now Red diesel/gas oil has to meet the same BS standard the difference between say a supermarket fuel and the premium brand fuel is the additve package which is added to the fuel when the fuel is distributed the supermarkets tend to have the least additives and the premiums the most this is why the premium fuels tend to be more pricey. Customs and excise duty on fuels is a very complex area i heard the other day that canal boats can no longer use red legally due to tax issues and it has been in discussion for many years about the use of red diesel in high speed tractors such as Mogs and fast tracs that spend most of there time on the road ? its the governmebts way of trying to squeaze all the money they can out of us just for trying to earn a living ! Personally i have seen engines killed by running on kerosene and others that have run fine but I personaly wouldnt do it. Heating boilers using gas oil instead of kerosene as said you should change the jets and up the pump pressure slightly to compensate for the thicker viscosity of the gas oil but it works but as gas oil tends to be more expensive than kerosene nowadays is it worth it unless your buying in gas oil in bulk for machinery ?
  15. 6150 good on road good in woods turning ios mental lol ! oh and got to love a three speed power shift
  16. Salisburys are and have been standard since the series 3s on LWB vehicles up until a point on Td5s ! they are much more sturdy but they will fail too ! trust me they like to chew half shafts and drive flanges
  17. Will sort out a price but were about the same price fitted as similar kits that are just supplied ! just a case of knowing what is used and where to get it !
  18. Hmmm yeah but rear axles are not cheep on 110s lol
  19. hmm Yes sounds lush bit of an Ars* to fit and the gearbox mods are unreal lol!
