  1. I’d certainly look into a good Honda powered petrol unit genuine Honda engine not the Chinese one ! Will run fine from an ibc and don’t forget to drain the machine and hose after use in the winter to prevent frost damage !
  2. Usually the roof is sprayfoamed and then walls you can either batten and spray foam in between or insulate and use a vapour barrier over insulation! Ventilation will also help with reducing the condensation in certain circumstances too I think ! might be worth a search on green building or Tiny house building forums ?
  3. We run Husqvarna 545RXT and 555RXT all with the mulching shredder kits and one is on standard line head too and we do lots of scrub and bramble bashig and not uncommon to tackle thick 6-8ft tall bramble elder saplings and they just keep going especially if you have worked out the techniques to get the tall stuff to fall down and then you can mulch it up ! Was so impressed with them I have a 545RXT personally and it does everything you ask ! And the Harness with them is comfortable all day if adjusted right !
  4. Looks like the bit that goes into the cable has snapped off
  5. Hi seams to be a dying art everywhere I’m hoping someone knows of a maker of lump wood charcoal somewhere close enough to me near Stowmarket in Suffolk ! I love to use it but it’s getting harder to find UK sourced and supplied any pointers gratefully received! D

    Coms

Can’t help you with that but would love to know if the new Stihl Advance com can be fitted to the Husqvarna Technical helmet !
  7. Have you seen the size of the scar and excavation needed to bury two 400kv three phase circuits ! Takes at least 50 m wide of total clearance etc ! Pylons have been around for years they might not please everyone but I’d rather see them than a 10-100km strip minimum of 50m wide total clearance of everything that takes years to recover !
  8. Sibton Abbey Contracting, give Mungo a call on 07500 010510
  9. So what is considered as a vehicle ? Are tractors, forwarders and diggers on Arb work now back onto rebated fuel ? and what about if Arb work is being carried out on Civil Engineering sites and building site where they are running on in rebated fuels ?
  10. Personally done sites like this and a decent tracked grinder such as a Carlton SP7015 TRX would rinse that in a couple of days with decent operator and teeth ! Just leaving the site clear enough to scrape off when they need to build ! The disposal of the footballs will be difficult and probably costly unless someone local will take them and has a decent chipper set up with hammers to deal with dirty material!
  11. It’s the glove fairy ! A close relation to the more common wood or log fairy !
  12. There was or is still a similar Merlo buried up to the frame in what was a very flooded field next to a slip road on the A14 in Suffolk ! I couldn’t get a picture but top mark to the driver for trying to keep going untill it became a land Titanic !
  13. I have the Haix protector pro 2.0 still keep my feet dry 15 months use most days often In horrible mud and slope they still keep my feet dry, I do try and reproof them every so often as you should and other than a set of laces no issues with them, they are definitely a good boot in my opinion!
  14. All done with just the IPhone’s I’ve had ! Will get better in time !
  15. I’m East of Ipswich and East of Stowmarket out on way to Framingham Linky to YouTube !
  16. Totally on my list has been for a while he’s a top notch engineer ! Dirt Perfect is a good watch if you like diggers and dozers ! lord Muck is also a good old chap very varied content Ag and machinery mostly ! couple of big American farms Larson Farms and Millennial farmer. If you like a bit of British backstreet Shed engineering then DoubleBoost is a must ! I watch more YouTube than TV so much more relieve and intresting than the old Googlebox is nowadays ! And I also have a small channel on the Tubes too !
  17. Depends if your Methodist, Catholic, or a Satanist ! Just the ratio and time in the microwave vary !
  18. My preferred method is to use a Chicken a Rabi and a purple glow stick !
  19. Yup 99% there is a piece of iron or steel in it as above usually nails sometimes if tree is old enough it can be shrapnel from bombs from WW2 !
  20. All diesel supplied in the uk has to be EN580 base stock fuel the dye and any additive package are added at the refinery or the terminal where tankers fill, this brindle said I have seen somewhere that different base stock fuels from different crude oil stocks will perform differently ! Basically a bulk oil tanker will deliver base stock refined Diesel fuel to EN580 low sulphur spec to the terminal and then it is either dyed and shipped out or also has additives added such as anti foaming or lubricity enhancers and a percentage of biofuel either methyl ester or Fatty acid derived fuel from animal fats etc ! the Biofuel can cause issues as it’s very good at cleaning things like tanks etc and then the muck it’s moved has nowhere to go except to plug filters etc ! I know many people who now only order either HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) or GTL (Gas To Liquid) fuels which do not promote bug growth and are also both cleaner burning and long life fuels !
  21. A few of the good ones have disappeared to the dark side ! Simon Mayo is on greatest hits still drive time nearly as it was on the beeb
  22. Depends what your doing I regularly use one where what and why you want one payload not great but 4wd useful if your on sites where surfaces are loose or need to get sensible distance from hard roads etc most are comfortable and have AC etc down fall I feel most about the one I use is the kit lockers are significantly smaller than on our 3.5 ton vehicles !
  23. Hi we had parts shipped over from these guys at half the cost and within three days of payment to UK from USA. https://store.globalequipmentexporters.com/storefront.aspx?noredirect there is a chap who’s taken over Orange Plants Carlton stuff but couldn’t remember who I think he’s on Facebook !
