  4. the Mercaptans that are used as stench agents for the gas linger around for a long while i beleive they can be absorbed into the outer layer of the steel and there is also a certian amonut of oil preciptiated out of the LPG this is why you may have still smelt it strongly . still safer than sorry though
  5. Curious to know what situations would require this and still alow the use of a saw ? most places that require Proban or Nomex clothing are usually places where there is a high fire / explosion risk like oil refinerys and chemical instalations .
  6. not always the DPf units were almost an after thought to the engine these engines also suffer with kknown turbo oil supply issues and due to the turbo and dpf unit being so close to each other duuring regeneration the heat loading on the turbo is increased this along with oil feed issues can cause them to fail prematurly and if oil vapour gets into the dpf it blocks quite fast also as you say there are issues with the injector seals and some other parts generaly its what comes from using a French engine lol !

  13. Decats work very well, proper remaps work very well EGR off saves another headache later center box either out or replacment with free flow box will improve gas flow somewhat larger intercooler will help and recommened with heavy tunes, Filter s will help to an extent, and uprated turbos and manifolds do the job ! just a word of advise some Td5 manifolds will warp when the lump has been tuned there are various andswers to this ! have fun
