  1. All other things aside, it's been a warm one. A nice cold pint is gonna feel kinda good.
  2. PUB! Sometimes you just have to accept that today is not your day.
  3. Them's the ones.
  4. Aren't they american? Don't get me wrong, the yanks make some great stuff. Just none with moving parts. Except the Zippo and lets face it, that's only 2.
  5. Have you had a ban?
  6. I need to fit a winch to my Defender 90. I've had many years experience of electric winches fitted to my vehicle, and have finally had enough. Whilst I was happy enough with them, I have had many issues with em, and thats cost me quite a lot of money over the years. Recently had a play with a hydraulic one, what can I say? Totally different league. Must have one, but which one? I should add, I'm not interested in comp recovery, so speed is not my first consideration. Currently liking the Red Winch range.
  7. Nice collection you have there. Used to have a S2 Disco (V8)ES and really loved it. I,ve got a 90 now tuned to about 200bhp, and I love that too.
  8. That's an awful lot of 666's.
  9. I've seen a fair few Huntsmen in WA. Got bitten by a Redback a few years back. Not a good experience, but not as bad as the Aussies would have you believe. I still get purple marks around the bite site sometimes.

    Whisky

Me and a mate have a sort of savings pot for buying whisky. We put a tenner each in the pot every week or so. When we have £100-150, we buy a bottle of something really good. Highland Park St Magnus reserve (£120) is the current bottle and it is bloody amazing. It's a great way to try stuff you would normally struggle to justify the cost of.
  11. Twenty year coppice cycle is very long. You might want to think about doing 10%ish a year.
  12. Looking at your work, I think a distinction is a safe bet. Nice one.
  13. Had some abandoned by a reclaim merchant, he gave use permission to take it as it was knackered for reuse. Went and spent a couple of weekends cutting it. It is, without doubt, the hardest wood I have ever come across. Took 4 chains and still had to spend ages sharpening.
  14. Sorry, just reread the thread and I don't know what the beetle is.
  15. Can't really tell from the pics, but I think Huntsmen are pretty common in cavities and under loose bark.
  16. I think you'll find, the two things go hand in hand.
  17. Good on yer fella.
  18. Cool. Enjoy your new motor. What is it btw.
  19. DVLA should be able to tell you then.
  20. A couple I did in France.
  21. I do all sorts of part time stuff. This summer I'm mist netting bats, and fitting them with radio trackers. I then get to spend my nights chasing them round the countryside in a 4x4.
  22. No sorry I can't, It's just something I heard on the radio a few weeks ago.
  23. They have just changed the law. You have to pick up every where now.
  24. Marmite on toast puts em off.
