  1. Get it out once you mastered it you never forget you will feel like a teenager again. Use to ride it at raves and club nights in the 90 s
  2. Yep there will be a few of us but all offers of food and drink will be kindly excepted. The uni cycle bit was to grab your attention can ride one but not that far. Still deciding on transport. Member of the family has just bought a steam engine but think it may be out due to costs.
  3. Thinking of doing the above jorney to raise money for Air ambulance and Birmingham Children Hospital the unicycle bit was to grab your attention the mode of transport has not been decided. Anybody traveled the whole route. Anybody live along the route. Thanks Mike:001_smile:
  4. You can get them on eBay for about £4.50 each.
  5. As long as all are ok let insurance sort it. Was it on back lanes or B roads ?
  6. I think you will find that it's for ventilation on stock sheds that's why euro sheet bought out vent air sheeting. I did a run of 160 m of hit and miss fencing at a property that bordered a huge field the wind was awful and they had panels before that would rattle apart as they were between concrete posts. Not had any problems with new fence and it looked really good.
  7. That's what I wanted to say but could not find the words. FairPlay .
  8. That sounded really depressing on reading it again it was not meant to sound like that. Just shows how events can change perception on things.
  9. Normal rate plus25% got to be fair to both party's got loads more work by treating people like that. Was working in a local village last year when a lady asked us to go round and look at a tree that had partially split out over the drive. Finished the job we were on went round climber got it all sorted . Went back next morning cleared up all in all 4 hours work so half a day + 25% she was over the moon another company wanted to get a picker in and charge her £1250. Turned out her husband was M D at a local business that has led to a lot of work.
  10. Last year I could of given you a whole list of items but now I can not think of anything that would bring happiness for more than 5 mins. Money can't buy what I want. To get to sleep before it gets light would be a start.
  11. I think they are trying to keep the seeds attached to the bush would a snow blower not be a little bit aggressive for that purpose. I've never seen a snow blower in action just on film so may be wrong. Plus is there not a screw to drive the snow up the chute would this not get jammed.
  12. Last months national geographic had a big write up on it. It was apparently bought over from Russia in the 50s in grain seed. Quite amazing what a little plant has accomplished. There was some great pics of it filling whole storm drains.
  13. In the construction industry it's not been exceptional to ride the hook in the last 25 yearsto be honest when getting into tree work I was surprised at the amount of people doing it. When I spoke to a local crane owner operator he said there is no legislation to say you can't but most of the big operators will not allow it under any circumstances. So if you want to ride the hook get a local operator.
  14. Just do a search and you will find a whole list of opinions on poplar. If it's free take it and make up your own mind. Will always make good kindling.
  15. Rover or if you add a little to your budget etesia.
  16. Can't help any more than that I am afraid. Can you try it off the Pto and see if that makes a difference. If you ring and speak to Jim he will sort it out for you and if he can't he will find some one that can. If there off until new year I'll give you his mobile number.
  17. Had the same problem after machine had sat outside for a while. Took the chainsaw control valve apart cleaned it up and it sorted it. Does the valve move correctly when the machine is not running if you pull the bar down by hand.
  18. He is getting stronger hope to get him out of his bed early in the new year can't wait.
  19. There is an oak tree that can be seen from my boys bedroom window that has stood there for 1000 years. Think what that's seen I will take a pic when I am back home it does look the part.
  20. Comparing it to the chestnuts behind our place I would say its around 275to 300 years old but pics can be deceptive. But I am probably completely wrong.
  21. When I purchased the processor I noticed that every time I used it for a day I would then go on to feel blocked up headache difficulty breathing. Started wearing a mask and it' does not happen. So me thinks fine saw dust or hydraulic oil that is used to lubricate bar been breathed in as a fine mist.
  22. It's easy done look on the bright side it was only one saw. Could of been a lot worse.
  23. Yes it is wast full but I do not have the time space or market for it plus I put the better tree surgery waste in a pile for friends and family. Ps I never disagreed about it burning just about the quality. I am off to the pub now for my 2 pints of black stuff.
  24. I agree but I will not be told it's good firewood by someone that should know better. It's wood it will burn but of all the wood out there it would be the last on most peoples list.
