  1. Thats about right for well seasoned as you will only get 19 t on a very full artic so around £1235 for a full lorry. It wants to of been down 18 months i would separate the oak and sell next year.
  2. I was thinking £250 + fuel for a 10 hour day including travel got a job booked in for the end of October for 5 days. Now just need to make a list of spares to go out with the machine anybody got any suggestions.
  3. As we have purchased a new Farmi processor i have added it to the list of things we hire out with an operator and was wondering what others charge for this service. We have had a lot of interest and did not want to commit on price until i have seen what others charge.
  4. There is an izeki sxg 19 low tip 55ol collector on the bay for sensible money sorry can not do links and the better half is not here to do it for me.
  5. What do you use to cut the grass during the season.
  6. We have a large pipe that has fuel could be petrel or derv running through it a few weeks ago the police caught a tanker lorry parked in a pull in on the a49 with a pipe running from the pipe line into it. They had dug down and drilled in to the cast iron pipe and put a valve in. They got 26k every time they filled up and were at it every night for four weeks. The reason the police did a check was no tax or insurance. They reckon if it had been petrol running through it that it would of gone off like a bomb.
  7. We use our Izeki SXG 19 for collecting leaves it will collect wet or even if there stuck on by frost. Any direct collect mower will do it well .
  8. Night in the late90s at Creme Liverpool, Atomic jam Q club Birmingham, Quadrent Park on the Wirral, Home Leicester Square London new years eve 2000. New years at global in Rotterdam 2001.
  9. Don't buy fuel from supermarket its all second rate that's why its cheep false economy as well i just use Texaco and never have problems filling cans.
  10. What do you call sensible? I think you will find price is strong from your surrounding delivery area. As you know the amount of work that is involved why not just find a local supplier with a good product and buy off him you could then build your own supply back up.
  11. Do as you did and give him a drink pay and be paid.
  12. We pay 1250 per load of 26t all hardwood 80%ash get between 46 48 cube sold at £100 a cube which is £4600 we will do around 8 artics loads could sell a lot more but i will not pay silly money for cord.
  13. From what i have found is if wood is left in the round for some time then split the logs seem wet but seem to dry out in no time. Yesterday i split some 12 months old ash that was felled by a harvester that took most of the bark off and it was dry enough to burn 25%mc 8weeks under cover and this will be down to 20%. Some of the big stems that were hand felled with all the bark on them are still as wet as the day they were felled. Ash Birch and Sycamore all seem to dry in the round if a lot of the bark is stripped and left for 12 months.
  14. Can the last one out turn the light off.
  15. Ferris or Skag both do mowers that would suit your needs.
  16. Stacked in a dumpy bag will be just fine!
  17. To say i am scared of spiders is an under statement:blushing: I wish i had not read that.
  18. Most firewood merchants sell in volume ie meter cubes. You got what you asked for apart from a bit of softwood can not see any problem. If you want cheep wood buy an axe and split it yourself [see how much hard work is involved.
  19. Whats up baz wood sales at an all time low for you or what:001_rolleyes:
  20. All of the x council stuff is coming through Brightwells auctions lots of cheep mowers some have little or no hours on them. Sale is on the second friday of the month at Madly in Herefordshire. All the big e bay traders go and fill up lorry after lorry some proper bargains. If you search Brightwells Machinery auctions you will get an idea of what i mean.
  21. Buy it all and stack it in the yard get it ready for next year and you will make money. Only way to make money out of firewood is axe doing 25t or processor doing 250t. You have to start some where though
  22. Jon ee is orange
