  1. So you lay turf with out spraying first and you supply it:confused1:
  2. I don't no of any landscaper worth his salt that would leave the old turf once you spray it off its dead no goodness left in it spray remove rotervate stone get a stone buiryer over it mix 2 part sharp sand to loam and sprinkle on and rake in and rake it and rake it then lay turf. If the client wants fine turf give him fine turf and do it properly we have been back to so many jobs where so called landscapers rotervate and chuck turf down and wonder why it looks crap.
  3. It's a no brainier get the l200 spend half your time in limp mode or get a d max and have trouble free motoring.
  4. Just going on what i pay locally. It has crossed my mind to sell all our kit now before the market crash comes.
  5. supply materials per bay works out at £50 for concrete post gravel bored and feather edge panels then between £50 60 to erect each bay unless it a tiny run ie under 5 panels then price per job. if they want the old fence taken down then it £10 per bay plus £10 to dispose of works for me. i am off to do a fencing quote.
  6. The guy that supplies us calls firewood in the round cordwood and everything else round wood he is touching 70 so if its good enough for the old boy its good enough for me. SO THERE
  7. Not wanting to start an argument but beech will dry really quickly if its got good ventilation we had 50t dropped in April split in to billets and logs and they were ready to burn ie below 20% mc by November. Oak is the only wood that i can not get ready in under 16 months, and thats the only extra cord i am been offered.
  8. You might as well look for rocking horse poo and hens teeth because the cord is just not out there. I have been looking for extra cord for next season and it thin on the ground unless you want poplar or softwood or oak which will not be ready for next season. GOOD LUCK:001_smile:
  9. SO by the time the transport is payed your looking at £70.00 a ton in an area where from what i understand a cube sell for around £80.00 there is no room for profit. If you can sell it fair play to you
  10. I think been in that environment would humble you some what. I really wanted to see tonight's program but been so busy today completely forgot. Will have to find it on 4 catchup or what ever it's called
  11. Had that problem on ours Mark from M&Harb diagnosed it as faulty switch in the feed and reverse buttons changed switches problem solved only happened on big timber.
  12. As much as I hate to admit it I've really got into the women's curling have not caught up with today's events yet but will do later.
  13. £105 for 1m3£200 for 2m3 or £275 for 3 m3 next season price will go up by £5 a cube to cover cost of cord.
  14. Glad things are looking better for you both. It's good that her employers have been quick in teaming her up due to not been able to drive.
  15. I would welcome a standard for firewood not hard to keep them dry in the yard or during delivery. Once they get to the customer if they want to let them get wet that's there look out. If you had a set standard people new they could trust it would nock the cowboys out of the game
  16. Where exactly are you? I am over in Herefordshire and will deliver over your way if you want 3 or 4 cube it's ash cut from billets that are down to 18% mc can be cut to what ever length you require. Let me know where you are and I'll give you a price
  17. Hope all goes well. What hospital is she at?
  18. You will get a lot of folk excited talking about that volume of timber have you had any expert advice yet?
  19. Has the felling licence been granted? Is it your timber or are you an agent.
  20. How much would you say that county setup is worth that's what I could do with for the yard.
  21. What they don't know will not hurt them, plus usually there that surprised i cut to order that i could charge double or treble and they would not care.
  22. Should say on your quotes about what's happening with the stump i know sometimes when its a windblown the client just wants you to crack on. One caught like this you will not let it happen again that's how i learned
  23. Gutted for you Sam that's awful hope you get sorted ASAP
  24. I have been looking for a 3 point linkage timber crane and there is very little in the uk. So will follow this thread with interest. I want mine for yard use so i can stack high and get at it.
