  5. It's only plus would be fast growing why not plant eucalyptus or birch it will not grow back from stump once cut as birch and eucalyptus does so I would say no but I am sure others will jump to its defence.
  6. 58 is around the same as us for beech can get oak locally for around 38 per tonne and it's usually been down a while. Getting Larch at 28 per tonne surpose to be getting some dead larch at that price.
  7. Just payed £42 road side for. 90% ash 10% syc only bought 100 tonne wish I had bought the lot.
  8. We found people are getting organised early all the regulars are having 3 or 4 cube. Glad to see it going out.
  9. As I've said before it all burn but it's dirty and full of sap been here before so that's my opinion not even the chip boys take it around us. I've burned loads of it usually on a bonfire. Now wood getting scarce the lads down the pub have it but they take it and log it them selfs. Each to there own.
  10. We do 6inch to 18 inch standard it 10 any smaller than 10 it's an extra £10per m3. We cut 100t of billets to cater for different sizes.
  11. Don't want to be funny but you must have different oak to me at I got a load July 13 cut it in march down to 20% now 14 inch cord respite to test moister content.. You can see where it's dry 30mm in from been left stacked. When it's down to 18% it's going out. It's bad enough carrying stock for a year let alone 4.
  12. Leeds of Bradford then
  13. Raising a beer to the two new members of your family.
  14. Where do I get one of these mystical stones?
  15. Winter or no winter all the firewood will go at the same price so it makes no diffrance to me a bit of snow on Christmas Eve to make it a bit more magical for my boy is all I ask for. Every day I read in one paper it's going to be cold the next warm. Get up in the morning look out the window that's how I predict the weather thesa days.
  16. Why flush the fuel tank
  17. The law is not black and white though that's where driving with out due care or attention can be used. As annoying as it is if you under take and a car pulls back in to the inside lane and hits you your going to be found at fault.
  18. Would be interested to see trailers fitted with Hiab as thinking of building one they make strong money on ebay. The way I see it is new 12ft IW trailer is 2200 1200 on a second hand hiab 400 on fitting . Or buy one for 5k all ready done
  19. There is no going back with hanging once that noose goes tight and your suspended it's game over.
  20. I will put a post on his thread rather than hijack this one Hodge. A close friend of mine committed suicide and all ways felt sad he had not confided how he felt to me. Also my partners x committed suicide the first time we found him before the overdose killed him. The second time we were to late leaving two teenagers behind wandering why. If I am honest it crossed my mind when my boys life was in the balance but he pulled through if he had not it may of been a different story. Just for the record I do think its a selfish act.
  21. Use to suffer with it badly in the early days of my sons accident but seeing him return to the happy little boy he was before all be it a little different makes me realise how lucky I am. Yes there are still many days that are hard but I will not let it get me down/ depressed.
