  2. Hucks right beech will go mushy in the middle when left for long periods. If it's under 12 inch and had some of the bark removed in the harvesting process the mc will have dropped by quite a big %. Would still need splitting and storing to get it right
  3. Jon I no nothing about the RHI but no of two operations that don't have planning that they need and still get the RHI unless that's changed very recently
  4. Come on explain your system then
  5. No the accumulator tank
  6. How big a tank do you have
  7. Come on then get some pics up can't understand how you make any money out of it with no RHI as you would have to bun so much to dry little. Unless of cause you no somthing we don't . The figures just don't stack up considering you were stuggling for a decent supply of cord your very brave investing in a kiln. Surly that Arb waste you were on about. Chipping would be used to heat the kiln
  8. Mean while back in the real world... We all no people are going to chuck any old crap in them then when auditors come revert back to the right way of doing things. There are more commercial bio mass boilers in Herefordshire than any where elsa and I can tell you nobody round here is worried. They just want that little dial to spin so the bank balance gets topped up with a nice little cheque each month. I could give loads of examples of things but a forum is not the place. You said last night you had a kiln what is it and where from
  9. They them selfs have a contract as I understand it that states the customer will not be out of pocket. They will take back equipment & refund not ideal as no income from RHI. The guy in question will have had the contract scrutinised so it's got to be a winner for him.
  10. I'm with you in this mate exactly what I would do. A good friend has an installation from Glen farrow going ahead at the end of the month. The contract states that if you can't get the RHI they will refund in full not ideal but at least you know your not going to loose.
  11. Its even worse when you have an account and they post it out:blushing:
  12. All bow to the log god
  13.:lol::lol: im off to bed
  14. The higher you go the better more wind will catch them
  15. Thats the great thing about firewood there is no right or wrong way to do it as long as you end up with a good dry product that drys at the speed you want it to. No two people do it exactly the same.
  16. How much has it cost you up to date for just the equipment not including the container?
  17. Ive had beech dry in 7 months in heras fecing cubes. Set them up in wind swept area and the wind all howl through them. Again i have an old block stable that we fill 40 cube one window at back leave door open and wind blows in . Some 1.2 cube bags that covered at the top still unseasoned:001_smile:
  18. Looks good mate does the job what do you think of the bilki what diameter will it cut up to?
  19. Bit of a derail but what kiln do you have that's got to be the next step for me just need a bank foolish enough to lend me the coin
  20. May be a gas axe would be a little over kill I am sure if you spoke to Kilworth they would make it fit one of the best company's I've had dealings with.
  21. There was going to be another word on the end of that but I'll leave it to your imagination?
  22. Our tajfun has slats all the way from the splitting chamber to the elevator which cleans 50 % of the debris then the end log cleaner removes 45% you end up with a better end product for sure.
  23. I do not buy coal as I have an endless supply of wood but if I did I would buy British local coal. I try to sue port local business as much as possible yes price is a factor but it's not at the top of the list.
