  1. Never I ask a price if it's to high walk away if they want I sell they ask how much I'll pay take it of leave it. I would not have the cheek to haggle at the suppliers as I know there some if the best prices in the country. British to the core me
  2. The cold weather will come soon enough.
  3. Your not wrong mate. I believe what goes around comes around! All though I can me a miserable sod I'll always try and help some one if I can so many people have helped me over the last year it's something I'll never forget. Fair play Jon
  4. Same here mate suppose to be like this for the next week. Generally though if it's nice clever sky's in the day the temp drops at night.
  5. Up till last April diet was awful slowly getting better toast and honey with a kiwi fruit for breakfast prawn sarni for dinner and usually have meat with veg & jacket potato for tea. Still have a macdonolds breakfast on a Saturday as a treat. Also use to drink a lot of red bull and pop but now just drink water maybe the odd isotonic drink. Really need to cut the fags out getting through two packs some days as I spend a lot of time at the hospital I feel awful smoking but just can't crack it!
  6. It's gone really slow other firewood guys in my area are all saying the same thing. To be honest October is always slow but this is slower than any other year. I have been told it will get cold by mid Nov. I've edged my bets against a cold winter just hope I have done the right thing. Time will tell. At least it give me time to get the DIY kiln off the ground until I can find the right supplier for a new one
  7. These machines were built to last not like the tin they make em out of today. It's not worth that though. I would say £2750 at the top end.
  8. We have an older matbro not the bendy one would not want to be traveling on the road very far with it as it's a pig to drive. Very good in the yard and ours is plated to lift two tonne with boom right in it will pick 3t up just very light on the back end.
  9. Chuck it under a hedge when it's-10 and your out of wood you will be glad of it
  10. I have an email off ofgem to say that this is completely wrong and you are allowed to kiln dry wood to be put back through the kiln.
  11. They grow like mad round here on heavy clay
  12. Nice set up mate I can't make my mind up as to buy a flat bed and stick an hiab on it or a 12ft ifor and put an hiab on that. I might just stick with the tipper and do it next year.
  13. Pull your head out your arse take a look at yourself he is no racist. Where that delete button. Your a low life first sniping at an inured man now taking a pop at some one for been a racist
  14. How do you drop them off?
  15. They look like tidy bags
  16. The guys I use don't need any pointers on health and safety and are very confident in any given situation. I've had climbers who will not do this or that or it has to be done there way there usually fresh out of college with all the gear and no idea. It's a bit like driving you learn to drive to pass a test then really learn to drive sometimes you get caught out it's called an accident.
  17. May be put some footage of you up doing a reduction over something fragile as there are a lot of guys that could learn something. Our main climber has used a top handle for 20 years and only had one injury caused by kick back the chain has stopped but caught his lip. He uses a topper one handed a lot if your confident in your ability I see no problem with it. I am sure we will have to agree to disagree on this?
  18. I would be interested in taking the sycamore at £38.00 a tonne
  19. Ye of cause the police have not got enough to do have they ? Tracing a call for threatening behaviour:lol:
  20. Can't understand how you make it work with out the RHI I've done the fivers over and over again they just don't stack up ill be back to pick your brains tomorrow in a hangover induced haze
  21. So your kiln drying in bags that's a first on me every one elsa I no kilns in crate stilliges or ibc then move to non vented bags and store. Kiln drying still needs to move air through the logs which does not happen very well in bags. Unless you have designed your own kiln.
  22. Crate of Stella should cover it
