  11. Ive just had a contractor in to chip my fuel with a drum chipper, which was quite impressive. Not being very up on these things could you tell me what sort of shredder would people use?

  13. Auxilliary circuit was the word I was looking for, my digger is plumbed for a breaker and stops if you accidentally push the button on the stick.

  17. does anyone from their experience and observation think that it a grinding wheel working too hot can not only pick up steel in its pores, but could also push bits of stone into the steel workpiece. Personally I have never used a grinder on a chain, but I can see by the animated discussion here that results are variable.

  19. in the golden olden days when we used to burn stubble, the brigade would turn up all the time, they got the same for a callout to a well controlled stubble fire as someones house. They did get grumpy if we set fire to the electric poles though!

  24. Tony, what does an elephant hawk moth live on, I found one last night walking up a bit of old stirling board, but I cant believe that is natural habitat, when I went back for a photo it had gone. Impressive though. Rod
  25. I have one I was given as a present, thought it was a gimmick at first but I used to split apple ring all winter for years with it and I still use it. The dogs stop it from sticking in the wood which I think is the most exhausting aspect of the job. Using it one handed gives me tennis elbow for some reason.
