  1. More storm damage clearance. Access too tight for trailer so 6 transit loads of chip and 13 loads of timber from one tree in formal garden. Local woodcarver working on beech stump. Talented guy!
  2. You’ll need a press I’m fairly sure. i always took out flywheel and brought into agri-eng workshop. my Tw dealer told me it’s not difficult to make greasable, said he’d done a few.
  3. Oliomac (might be spelt wrong) do a good 62cc that’s powerful and less money. very happy with ours
  4. I think that’s the same as what’s on the uniforest. It’s pre- crushed (or something like that ) so doesn’t kink or flatten easily
  5. Thanks. i hoped there might be one at the APF. there was a hydraulic one but the rep knew nothing about engine driven
  6. Will work but too much heat. have done this with a mini digger in the past , works great but oil boiling within 20 minutes

  12. Must be the same all over. Drives me mad all the organization we put into roadside jobs to minimize inconvenience to public then these arrogant marshals stick a beacon on their car and take over,Making things more dangerous a lot of the time.
  13. Thanks. Thats good. I went once on a Saturday (years ago , Lockerbie I think) and it was pretty much winding down from dinner time on

  15. Very few of these around and the best ones getting old. Good forestry cutters mostly become machine drivers or arb climbers. with all the walking ,carrying of saws etc over forest terrain and working in remote areas a lot of the time, these guys need to be well paid

  18. A friend of mine is selling very tidy 8ton , pto pump, brakes, steering drawbar. message me if interested .
  19. Not an expensive repair really. worth getting a pro mechanic or light engineering shop to do it for peace of mind
  20. Not sure about Uk but in Ireland construction regs apply to Arb works. any work at height (above or below ground) must have written risk assessment and have specific rescue plan for activity. im sure can be found on Hse website.
  21. This is not very helpful. a lot of terms/ jargon/abbreviations to take in when starting out. get trainer or experienced climber you know to make a list of basic kit. i still use Prussic on my short climbing rope for small to medium trees. on the aerial rescue issue: don’t forget you will have this responsibility when you hire a climber in
  22. Good to know. kids keep asking: what good do midges do?
  23. Thanks . Interesting setup
  24. So can you jackknife trailer and chip into?
