  3. I think if it’s self propelled it’s classed as a train and you’d have to do a hundred courses to drive itI
  4. From browsing on Marcus, Equipment seems to be a good bit more expensive in Europe and Scandinavia than in UK. I am often amazed at how cheap some of the large haulage firms can move stuff if you can wait a few weeks for loads/ back loads etc to fall into place
  5. Hi. the belts should have no more than half an inch free movement if at proper tension. If they are shiny on the sides they will slip no matter how tight they are. They are worth changing after a year or so as not expensive . Fairly Simple to fit and tension. your problem may well be different, the TW technician will be able to talk you through it over the phone when you have machine in front of you
  6. Glazed or even slightly slack drive belts can cause no-stress not to function as normal. we had a 190 for 7 years, only feeding problems were belts and wiring chewed by dog
  7. There’s a fella near tourmaleady who does a lot of work on old mercs. has good contacts in Germany for parts. Friends brother brought a car to him that several garages couldn’t get to run right. Sorted it in half an hour

  10. Would really like one as runaround/ towing/ pricing/farming vehicle. are they expensive to run and maintain? /
  11. A lot of money if all staff members do it but could be useful for foreman owner operators etc. nothing worse than a bad work atmosphere or crew not on the same hymn sheet.. also nowadays employers are soft targets for all manner of complaints and claims
  12. You might want to edit price
  13. Thanks. Yes , I thought trucks were good value. Both unused, only 400 miles on mine when I collected it. seller is a very genuine guy with other businesses . Choppers haven’t even had a branch through them.
  14. Large construction and utility companies will have limits and perametres for pretty much everything, as calculated by whichever relevant engineers, especially lifting operations and working at heights. If an accident happens and the crap hits the fan, people’s opinions on how windy it was will just be hearsay in court . Only a written recording will carry any credibility. having said that, I no longer have one. got one at the APF years ago for £30
  15. Sorry for derail. There’s a tr8 and a tr6 on donedeal at the moment (Along with an Isuzu Arb truck) both unused . totally genuine, we bought the other truck
  16. Tw230 is much better at pulling in bushy stuff than tw190 or any of the 6 inch alternatives
  17. I made one once in my forestry days. Worked fine but quite heavy. Proper one is made of higher quality steel, very strong for it’s weight . nowadays can earn the £42 quicker doing trees and buy the proper tools
  18. Masons have a trailer 6 inch sheisling pto chipper with only 50 hours done. more money but top quality and less stress on a small tractor
  19. Shhhh !
  20. Aren’t STHIL the Chinese fakes that the travelers sell? i prefer husqvarna t540 myself or stihl 201.?
  21. Iffy limit switch on one leg maybe? or poor connection, corrosion etc?
  22. Yes. Did it with a transit once. worked well but some petrol fumes in cab. . Need to have a good seal between storage and front and separate ventilation. maybe store petrol etc in side box
