  5. I do not usually follow the science stuff but this has always puzzled me, I was hoping for some definitive answers, strangely no one actually has one, or have I missed something? I do not really buy the porus tarmac theory, surely 99.9 percent of the water runs off. So denied of a significant proportion of its water supply many oaks I have seen seem to survive without apparent problems. I do not know how, and evidently I am not alone. One crazy nonsense that occured to me was the roots go down closer to the water table (or something!) probably nonsense but I had to offer an idea no matter how crackpot.
  6. I think you mean embodiment but I agree anyway.

  21. well done indeed!
  22. The thing that I hate most about this is that for every "victim" that lies about this sort of thing other genuine victims are disbelieved or do not report it for fear of being called a liar.
  23. Yes there are pretty damn good, especially the cheetah.
  24. I have felled trees at the weekend to avoid getting a TPO slapped on them, they should have tried harder and got the other 13 down. Their land, their trees. Do these residents think that no trees were felled to make space for their houses?
  25. Shame, I thought this was going to be packed with handy hints about everyday tree work.
