  1. Thanks, I'll order it up and give it a go.
  2. Mines gone as usual, is there a way of replacing just the black bit and not the whole side?
  3. God help us you've released The Kracken
  4. Thanks; does not look that deadly but you never know!
  5. dead right.
  6. Ok understand now; thanks.
  7. 30 degrees here today, so did I.
  8. Don't usually watch videos, I keep an eye on yours as they seem to cause such controversy, one question, I have noticed that you always use a truck for pulling power. This is quite brutal and difficult to judge, possibly leading to snapped ropes and other possible cock ups. Would you find a winch safer and more controllable? just a thought.
  9. You sir are a man of rare taste and good breeding I'll wager:001_smile:I
  10. You have to think with his work ethic, problem solving brain AND decent literacy skills he could have got a decent job, plus reading the Daily Star did not help.
  11. Am I right in thinking you two work together?
  12. not the worst idea I've ever heard.
  13. I'll be honest, I used to use it and had no trouble with any part of the saw HOWEVER I was put right by Gensetsteve who pointed out its carcinogenic properties. went and bought some proper chain oil next day.
  14. I use two hands on my hard hat to signify all clear below, no more cutting until I restart the saw.
  15. Why? I mean to what end?
  16. My 076, I love its throaty burble.
  17. Point taken, to finish, I think that if I pursued someone and consistently belittled their writing that would be bordering on bullying (bored of writing that word) However one off mocking mickey takes are something considerably less. Better go and earn some euros now while they still exist!
  18. First point about not enjoying the deliberate misunderstanding I am in their country, it is up to me to be fluent enough for every situation, I can see why they take the mickey, but I cannot accuse them of "hate crime" or bullying that would be frankly insane. Second point; Coming out here as an adult means that you pick it up mostly by ear. Without the benefit of years in a French school the written grammer side tends to lose importance, the imperative of earning a living takes precedence. Some people have done it I am sure. they have more determination or a better brain than me. Third point; I strongly expect the guy selling the chipper cares more about selling it than having his English corrected. I know in his situation if I was trying to sell it in France, and I had received this sort of "bullying" as you call it I would not have lost a moments sleep over it.
  19. As you may of noticed I live in France, moved out here in my early forties, have tried hard to learn the lingo and while my spoken French passes muster (just!) my written French is as bad as his English. every day with clients, shopkeepers and in the bar I am subject to being corrected, misunderstood (sometimes on purpose) occasionally laughed at and other vaguely humiliating experiences. I get a native to help with complex quotes and advertising copy. Do I cry myself to sleep at the cruel jibes? no I just get on with it.because thats life.
  20. Never said I was. If I wanted to sell something on e-bay and I had a problem reading and writing I would get someone else to do the text for me.
  21. Going off thread a little, bullying is a word that gets bandied around a lot these days. As someone who went to a rather rough school in the 70s I think that a bit of mickey taking over the net does not compare with the sort of physical and psychological torment that I and many others went through. (some of the aforementioned others at my hands i'm ashamed to say)
  22. My thoughts in a nutshell.
  23. They have a good reputation on here; probably tomorrow one of their employees will offer a solution, sorry to waste your time, its just that the wife is watching the X-Factor and I hate it!
