  1. Urea to encourage breakdown I find in all cases where someone with little knowledge starts on us- whatever we say just sounds like excuses. Nowadays I feel more inclined to impolitely tell them they know nothing:thumbup1:
  2. seriously though- it's one of those cases where your neighbours(the whole street) are going to probably complain when you remove it as it's a local asset. But I believe you should judging from the picture and what the eventual height would be.I suspect the tree is about 40 years old max. Personally something with red leaves would be wrong- I like the sound of amelanchier.
  3. Leylandii:biggrin:
  4. Very sad- thoughts with the family
  5. so this costs £9.99 is that an annual charge
  6. treat them with detol- that will prevent infection:biggrin:
  7. Just heard the government is scrapping 142 of the 150 pages of school H&S stuff so thats good news. Parents who kick off when little johnny gets a scratch or breaks a bone are just the scum of the earth adding costs to our childrens education and removing oportunities. Other than javelin /shot/discus throwing- how dangerous can a sports day be
  8. arbtalk- for great cooking recipes:lol:
  9. we get our electric from british gas crazy:001_smile:
  10. Try advertising pop and pine as firewood Doubt you'd get any takers if money was involved. Just go quiet on the customer and see if they keep nagging You'll know then if your price is near the mark Sounds like they are using classic techniques to drive your price down:thumbdown:
  11. do we blame the parents yes..... kids need danger:thumbup:
  12. or use the used sloes for raisins in flapjacks
  13. I know someone who told me that they spoke to someone that saw someone who once had an issue with H&S what a load of c++p
  14. can you trust anyone:001_tt2:
  15. whats the crop they are growing in i saw this taday and didn't recognise it
  16. the times customers have instructed me to top their trees aaaargh
  17. perchance - is that her??
  18. It's not business like to increase the price during the job unless there are unforseens. Before the job starts you can do what you like. Shops don't have to sell you the product at the advertised price if they choose not to. The contract is only valid at the sale
  19. I say each job on its merit As someone said- people do like watching us- all ripply muscles and man fat sweaty bodies- it's almost pornographic- maybe we should work nights
  20. Think I'm quoting for the same job so cheers for your post:001_tt2: Joking.....
  21. you must have little NCD I would have thought that was otherwise high
  22. Nice one Thanks
  23. Similarly if someone gives you something for free- say a chainsaw You then sell it to someone- you will have to account for the vat One more example of us being tax collectors:sneaky2: There are ways round this but they are frowned upon
  24. BUT Is it cheaper You can bank as many cheques as you like for one charge with bacs its one charge per transaction
