  1. TCF engineering brash cart, 200l drum, and a few plumbing fittings Hose is 3/4" for more flow than a 1/2" garden hose. Fill it from a rainwater tank through the top bung. Next time I will put a ratchet strap front to back over the drum
  2. The obligation is a moral one. If you see something unsafe, you should try and do something about it.
  3. Get in touch with the council/roads authority, tell them what you have seen. He puts a higher priority on having his hedge trimmed than the safety of innocent folks passing by!
  4. For what the OP was talking about, cutting thin stuff into manageable lengths, 1 battery would last a whole day
  5. The weight is much and such the same, there's different battery options (including backpack or belt), but it's worth it for the fresh air, low noise, and no pull start

Does my bum look big in this? x
  7. To me the best saw for the job would be battery (Husqy 540i xp) but the cost of the saw, a couple of bli300 batteries, and charger, will give the op a heart attack. But he did ask for the best saw...? Aside from that, a really good hand saw might suffice? You can carry it in and out on your belt with the logs, rather than having to leave a chainsaw lying about, I don't know if there's any theft risk in the location.
  8. A guy I know used to hire out his diggers. He always put a grease gun in with the machine. He got a call one time to say the grease gun was broken, so he drove off to the site, with a replacement grease gun in hand. Turns out the first grease gun wouldn't work as the "digger driver" on the job had put the cartridge in upside down.

When searching for something else, found this for sale locally on ebay, it's supposed to help with both the EMF and chemtrails (think I might know the guy selling them) Heavy Duty Orgonite Cloudbuster; 6 Pipes & weighing over 15kg (EMF, Chemtrail) WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Heavy duty Orgonite "Cloud Buster". 10. If you really want to piss off the RSPB, park on their land for free, whilst hedge trimming in the summer.
  11. £5 per month doesn't seem too bad
  12. 13. They're pretty mad with the salt on the trunk roads, it's like 6months of the year. Even if it's not that cold you'll see them spreading
  14. For a quick tidy up, husky battery powered blower. For a full scale armageddon clear up, then the biggest backpack blower you can get
  15. Don't say that, this guy would go out to buy a skilsaw and come back with this: (and asking how it works)

  18. Do you like big butts?
  19. Google for a pallet wrecking bar/pallet buster. It's like a double crow bar.
  20. Always hard to tell what posts are serious I suggest the op gets a 10" knife (sword) for his saw. That would be ideal for cutting pallets. You need to be careful though, wear a stout pair of boots and a motorcycle helmet

If you like substations, you should move to the Beauly area! The exisiting substation which has just been extended is about 50 acres, the new one will be about 1.3miles away as the crow flies, and a further 60 acres in size

To me it seems mad to build all these pylons, powerlines, and substations to take "green" energy down to the big cities, when the homes they tower over and bypass are still heated with oil, coal, sometimes peat, and the vehicles and machinery are mainly fossil fuelled too. Why not incentivise the use of renewable energy close to the source

There's a house and land I've done work at for years, beautiful cottage, great location, plenty of acres. The downside is there's a pylon in the garden, 25m from the corner of the house. I don't know how true the stuff about the powerlines is, but not sure I would fancy that. (house has just gone up for sale if anyone wants to take a chance on their health....)
