    The post

Postie start times in the mornings have been put back a few hours round here, apparently Royal Mail have cancelled 2 flights so they have to wait for the lorries to come in now. (might not be a bad thing for the environment though)
  2. I borrowed a book on tree pruning from the local library, but the last 1/3 had been removed.
  3. Just put a sign above the infeed saying "please do not insert any body parts, as the clean up is time consuming for the other staff"

I don't know if the latitude thing is good or bad for solar? Long summer days, but about 6hrs of daylight in midwinter?

Could Thurso be in line for the far north’s first solar farm? WWW.JOHNOGROAT-JOURNAL.CO.UK A multinational’s bid to develop the far north’s first commercial solar farm has elicited a mixed response from Thurso Community Council. An area that already has too much renewable energy, and a company wants to come in and build a solar farm, would it not make more sense to put solar panels on new industrial buildings near the big cities. Keep the land for grazing, or plant some trees.
  6. Enough head as a man could ever desire! I know it's mad, you'll all think I'm a nutter, but I just planted some bare root fruit trees this week. They were on a special offer, 6 different fruit trees for £19.99 plus postage! I assume they're unsold from the winter, and been in a cold store. I think they would have a chance if it wasn't for the delivery taking a week.......during a heatwave! https://www.gardeningexpress.co.uk/premium-speciality-chefs-selection-for-the-fruit-connoisseur-fruit-tree-collection-pack-of-six The description is a load of soppy waffle It's a punt, I think at least 1 of them has a sign of life, a Pinova apple.
  7. Half full at 100kg it's easy to wheel about, the ground gently slopes downhill, you would struggle uphill on grass. This cart also has a 50mm tow bar attachment They're great trolleys, well made.
  8. TCF engineering brash cart, 200l drum, and a few plumbing fittings Hose is 3/4" for more flow than a 1/2" garden hose. Fill it from a rainwater tank through the top bung. Next time I will put a ratchet strap front to back over the drum
  9. The obligation is a moral one. If you see something unsafe, you should try and do something about it.
  10. Get in touch with the council/roads authority, tell them what you have seen. He puts a higher priority on having his hedge trimmed than the safety of innocent folks passing by!
  11. For what the OP was talking about, cutting thin stuff into manageable lengths, 1 battery would last a whole day
  12. The weight is much and such the same, there's different battery options (including backpack or belt), but it's worth it for the fresh air, low noise, and no pull start

Does my bum look big in this? x
  14. To me the best saw for the job would be battery (Husqy 540i xp) but the cost of the saw, a couple of bli300 batteries, and charger, will give the op a heart attack. But he did ask for the best saw...? Aside from that, a really good hand saw might suffice? You can carry it in and out on your belt with the logs, rather than having to leave a chainsaw lying about, I don't know if there's any theft risk in the location.
  15. A guy I know used to hire out his diggers. He always put a grease gun in with the machine. He got a call one time to say the grease gun was broken, so he drove off to the site, with a replacement grease gun in hand. Turns out the first grease gun wouldn't work as the "digger driver" on the job had put the cartridge in upside down.

When searching for something else, found this for sale locally on ebay, it's supposed to help with both the EMF and chemtrails (think I might know the guy selling them) Heavy Duty Orgonite Cloudbuster; 6 Pipes & weighing over 15kg (EMF, Chemtrail) WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Heavy duty Orgonite "Cloud Buster". You will receive a Cloud Buster which is similar to the one shown in the pictures, minus the pipe extensions. 7 X Copper pipe connectors (including...
  17. If you really want to piss off the RSPB, park on their land for free, whilst hedge trimming in the summer.
  18. £5 per month doesn't seem too bad
  19. You can't get in to really tight spots with it, but try a Gwaza coupler, and a flexi hose Genuine G-Coupler | Grease Gun Coupler | M10x1 STORE.KDPLANT.COM Genuine GWAZA original G-Coupler | Made in South Africa | Works with all grease gun types: Pneumatic, Manual, Battery | Fits all types of grease nipples | Frees both hands to operate... (check what thread size you need)
  20. They're pretty mad with the salt on the trunk roads, it's like 6months of the year. Even if it's not that cold you'll see them spreading
  21. For a quick tidy up, husky battery powered blower. For a full scale armageddon clear up, then the biggest backpack blower you can get
  22. Don't say that, this guy would go out to buy a skilsaw and come back with this: (and asking how it works)

  24. Best to work in the buff IMO, safety first, no risk of clothes snagging in machinery
  25. Do you like big butts?
