  1. I've never tried this myself, has anyone on here done this, and have any advice? Best to mash them up and separate the seeds, or leave them whole? Leave them in a pot of sand over winter?
  2. Someone cleverer has already replied, but they often have BT and a code engraved on the poles, in the photo you can just see the B. To the right of the 2 E signs
  3. Spotted these on gumtree, don't know the person, they might be sold by now anyway. £10 each Ibc cage and tank | in Beverley, East Yorkshire | Gumtree WWW.GUMTREE.COM £10 each these have resin residue in. Collection cherry burton near Beverley plenty available
  4. 50cc 4 stroke hedge trimmer or pole saw, that sounds pretty grim Also can't stand a loop handle strimmer. Not ergonomic, high vibrations etc GX50 are great engines but that seems like the worst place to use one
  5. Which one is your current jacket, and is it any good?
  6. If you're looking to buy bare root fruit trees have a look at Scottish Heritage Fruit Trees | Scotland Orchard experts WWW.SCOTTISHFRUITTREES.COM supplies best apple trees, plum trees, pear trees, nut trees & soft fruit bushes for Scotland, North England, Wales & Ireland. 7. Second hand Greenmech cs100 for your 3k, then a second hand muck truck for circa £1500 to tow it with. Both the same width, will go a lot of places, and doesn't leave a mark turning on grass unlike tracks. Only takes a second to untich the chipper and use the muck truck for carting chips/logs about! 2 machines that are built for professional use. Lets see if Pete B presses the "like" button for this post
  8. I filled a barrel with seaweed to make liquid fertiliser this year, I did rinse it first to hopefully remove some salt, don't know how necessary that was.
  9. Not used them myself, but round here you can hire one easily Highland Roadbrush Ltd | Inverness WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Highland Roadbrush Ltd, Inverness. 935 likes. Sweeping across the Highlands , short term , long term and 24/7 call out
  10. Comfrey, nettle and seaweed seems to good to go on compost, that would be good for a liquid fertiliser!
  11. Found camel toe in the polytunnel
  12. The nights are fair drawing in...... Got this cheap wee usb rechargeable headlamp on aliexpress for £7something +tax. I've got a better one, but for the money it seems really good. More of a spot beam than a flood, so more suited to general use than lying under a vehicle https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005950929989.html
  13. Recently I had a couple days work to do about 2hrs drive away. That's 2hrs if you did it first thing in the morning, before the tourists wake up. I took the hammock and other camping gear to sleep the night in the van, but in the end the very nice folks there gave us the keys to a 1 bed cottage, with a plate of food in the fridge!
  14. Meanwhile in Paisley......... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7neSwWbhtQ
  15. Don't know if he's on the books or not? If self employed, he might be worse off than a minimum wage job where you get holiday pay, clothing, training etc etc
  16. ? Baby formula will sometimes have the big security tags on, it's a popular item to lift, costs the same as a bottle of whisky I imagine the junkies prefer the rustic sourdough to the mothers pride plain loaf
  17. I'd give you a fiver if you made us a few waffles on it!
  18. A popular thing round here now is the polycrubs, either "genuine" from the original company, or another firm, or people make their own. The hoops are normally plastic pipe from the fish farms, about 4"-5" diameter. With wooden rails and polycarbonate sheeting. They seem pretty stromproof but they aren't cheap. Maybe 2-3 times the price of a similar size poly tunnel?
  19. The "40v" will be a 36v system A 36v battery fully charged is normally 42v, and around 32v discharged
  20. The husqy you've linked is more the homeowner grade, they do professional tools and batteries too. I much prefer battery to petrol.
  21. Get a decent battery hedge cutter (normal and long reach) and backpack or belt battery. Low vibes, low noise, zero fumes in your face, cheaper to run, refuel at home, lightweight with the separate battery.
  22. I'm not sure if they're effective, they're basically just padded gloves. Hand arm vibration - Gloves and warm clothing WWW.HSE.GOV.UK
  23. Found this on google streetview, near Doncaster and the A1M https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.6010432,-1.2724783,3a,75y,22.2h,89.49t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sBCwwUzonZT-eyqbZrJadow!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3DBCwwUzonZT-eyqbZrJadow%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.share%26w%3D900%26h%3D600%26yaw%3D22.203860748543747%26pitch%3D0.5136389920751441%26thumbfov%3D90!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en-GB&coh=205410&entry=ttu

  24. The next step is to add urine to the compost (if you're not already using it in the garden) Further steps include building a compost toilet, to recycle jobbies and sawdust.
  25. From this I deduce you need to get some hens! Fresher eggs than you'll get in the shops, happier hens than commercial free range, and they get rid of your food waste!
