  1. It damn well looks like it!!!
  2. April was completely dead, May has been a bit mad in the repair sector but I think when peoples employment situation kicks in and the money they have been saving whilst not going out is spent, it will change dramatically and not in a good way. It may be money saved from not going on holiday this year? Sorry to piss on the fireworks but some of the companies going tits up are massive and think it will take a while for us to get back to some sort of "normal" and spending ££££ will slow down dramatically!
  3. Had the first lettuce, trusses forming on the toms, cucumber flowers happening, courgettes and beans in the garden....courgettes got nipped by the frost but the growing tips were fortunately fine. Peppers are putting some growth in now.
  4. Looks like the clutch broke and burst the drum as the drum walls look good with little or no wear!
  5. Damn, most of these saws blow up before the sprocket wears out and your sprocket HAS worn out!!!
  6. It doesn't look right to me, I think the drum thingy should be in one piece and that clutch doofer held together with springy things....shall I get my glasses? Not seen one go like that, cracked but not fragmented like that!
  7. Delrin.....I think you mean Polyoxymethylene, engineering plastic, used in the manufacture of keyboard keys and the black Delrin changes to white when laser etched. Also used in air rifle components....branded Delrin by Dupont and that's my knowledge finished! God I know some crap!
  8. Is that a suggestion of a decent tech in Gloucestershire? Drop it in to the local Church! Perhaps an exorcism!
  9. Try ADW on here, he is more Husqvarna but may sort it!
  10. Possibly but think the grunion flange is the main element that causes issue of this type!
  11. I think his main grunion pin flange is worn
  12. No, he doesn't know what saw he has and wants us to fix it!
  13. Oh.....those little fiddly wires below where the handle joins the front of the machine can break and cock the machine up - worth checking these as well!
  14. It always amazes me how little some know about the kit that powers their income.....It is an Mtronic saw, the three position switch and little cover in front of the oil cap shows this....glad I asked. A few things worth checking, probably the solenoid is the issue.....just find out where it is and change it. Worth checking the gauze strainer in the carb and swapping the spark plug. If it isn't these things then take it in to a decent tech.
  15. Wookworths, was that after the Chinese takeover? I don't charge for this either.......we could be the new Morecombe and Wise!
  16. Oh God, it is like putting horse crap on your roses, give the site an old Husky and up he pops bearing fruit I think it is "Tomos", having spent many a summer around Croatian marinas I know they make outboards as well. They also made mopeds for Woolworths....and chainsaws
  17. The compression gauge is probably for car engines so isn't a valid reading. If the compression is OK, Just check the spark, if that is good then it will be typically fuel filter, fuel line or carb issues. You could try the carb off the one that runs!
  18. Looks like a Husqvarna L65. Some were made in Sweden, some in Yugoslavia as was. Don't leave it running near anything dry that can catch fire as the exhaust blows downwards on to your dry grass that then catches fire.....interesting design.
  19. Glad you sorted it, these small plugs appear to be less reliable than the 14mm ones, catches me out now and then!
  20. Is this the Mtronic saw or the manual tune model? The one Essex is talking about is the manual tune model. Was it ever working in your ownership?
  21. 135psi is very low, what compression gauge are you using? 150+ is more typical on small saws.
  22. MS200Ts are like gold dust, even parts make good £££. Most likely your 200s have carb issues, if they are near complete then £100-150 per saw. Is the 084 the one I looked at?
  23. Leaking seals generally have a bit of black fluid around them if they are that bad. Mostly engines will start with a dodgy seal and have had saws start with the seal completely missing! If you have tried the carb and ruled it out - I say this a bit tongue in cheek as I have heard it all before and carbs are probably the most likely cause, try the coil as they can spark but the spark can be timed all wrong. I have had a blower idle perfectly but as soon as you rev the engine - pop, nothing and it was the coil high speed advance blown so it would just die. If the thing has compression then it sounds coil/plug orientated but that is if your carb swap was as it should be. Don't rule out split fuel lines and dodgy fuel filter as well plus the muffler can sometimes wet plugged with carbon etc, worth checking.
  24. Done a bit on eBay and purchased all sorts, they are indeed skewed towards protecting the buyer and having tried to purchase hair clippers recently, nothing arrived fecking Chinese and got reimbursed so glad for their purchase protection. I am old school, you sell something and it should be as you described. The issue is when you sell a saw and it is flagged as faulty and comes back with half its parts missing. Not something I have had but it has happened or you sell something and the purchaser says it never arrived etc. I have been lucky so far but prefer to have purchasers turn up so you can show it working and drive in two strokes need oil in the petrol etc. eBay is a double edged sword, good on some occasions and a pain if it ever goes wrong. Best you can do Rob is to use it as free marketing....£30 on eBay, £20 from online shop, that sort of thing and don't expect to sell anything on the Bay but use it as a redirection to your site!
  25. I have had a few after market Chinese carbs come through fitted to MS200Ts and all have been absolute crap. They are near impossible to adjust and hyper sensitive in adjustment. I have given up on all of them and fitted a refurb OEM carb on all of them. Some are OK but these MS200 ones are pants! Zama are in fact Chinese but manufactured to a specification.
