  1. If he truly is self employed,he should invoice you.
  2. You're not the only ones. It will cut wood, but it's not a professional job.
  3. :thumbup:But its a great photo,Steve will want a copy of that:biggrin:
  4. The 310 and 66 will both be 3/8 , but the 540 will be 3/8 low pro,so 2 different guides needed.
  5. If you had a 170, a 210,a 240 and a 660 you would need 4 different roller guides. And the top plate angle would be set at 30 degrees, where as Husqvarna (and Oregon) recommend 25 degrees. So it all depends on what saws and chains you have.
  6. Why did I write D.G.M ? I meant Shinnersbridge garden machinery at Dartington, next to Totnes and South Hams Tyres. They are Husqvarna.
  7. It sound to me as if you running it with the choke out. Read the operators manual and check the start , stop, run and choke controls. If in doubt pop in to Devon Garden Machinery on your way up to Heathfield because MVF won't have a clue:001_rolleyes:
  8. That's a more logical reason than my example.
  9. There are 3 wires that go to your grey junction box. Presumably one goes to a 7 pin trailer socket to give you 12volt, maybe when the side lights are on. Presumably two goes to an electric switch on top of one of your joy sticks. Presumably three goes to a solenoid that works one of your spool valves. tomtom is suggesting that operating the electrical switch will pull one (or more) of the spool valves into a float position. This would allow the rotator or main lift ram to float e.g when dragging a bigger stick close enough to lift.
  10. £8950 + £1790 VAT If its Isuzu you want, the main dealer of the year is at Saltash and there's another dealer at Ashburton.
  11. I have a TD40 with a metal fuel tank on a Tondu brushcutter. Your problem sounds just like mine does when the tank is running out of fuel. It often gets crap in the fuel line and in the float bowl which needs cleaning out. Another thing to check is dirt in the fuel tap which very few machines have these days.
  12. Also check the Lift Pump Diaphragm for perforations while you're at it.

    Files.

Exactly:thumbup1: But if your filling freehand the file will sit in the centre of the previous groove , giving more hook as the O.P suggested.

    Files.

They used to recommend a smaller file on a worn chain ,( because the cutters slope away from the cutting edge) , to prevent you filling into the tie strap.
  15. 4 rails look great until they start eating them
  16. You need to order Stihl PM3 chain - part number 3670 AFAIK 1/4" pitch Oregon is only available in 50 gauge.
  17. IIRC you can at 15 during the summer holidays if you are 16 before the autumn term starts.

    husky 254xp

Black top should have a black sticker.
  19. I'd agree with early 1980's - Several saws of that era were AV models. Anti Vibration
  20. The Stihl FS56 that you mentioned is straight shaft but it has a flexible drive inside the tube. The FS94 is the cheapest Stihl brushcutter with a solid driveshaft.
