  7. yeh they still make them good engine they are about 1050hp if i am right the ktta50 had two sets of staged turbos and were about 1500hp the kta38 are 12 cyl version of the series
  8. penny wise pound foolish .go for a good quality mineral 15w40 we have had cummins kta38 engines on test on some fancy new oil it was a total ####up cost a fortune already had 2 engine failures at £40k each. buy decent filters as well and change them regular you should go far wrong doin that
  9. the last company i worked with had a fleet off about 12 metal shears on excavators so i had a go at cutting fire extinguishers i still havent found both parts of the fire extinguishers yet. dangerous and impressive at the same time:biggrin:
  10. they cant take them to the scrappies because they are a sealed container its the same as fire extinguishers the scrappies wont touch em cause they go bang when you process them
  11. check the resistance of the solenoid for the feed and the wiring going to it sounds like somethings goin straight to earth
  12. you would have to have a changeover valve on the tank return as well to avoid cross contamination and still have a method off when you were on the change over to white letting the fuel system run clear off red

  15. save yourself the hassle i work day in day out with hydraulics on excavators and other assorted plant and ended up buying one from a place in newcastle for £900 i couldnt source the parts and build it for that price
  16. it would need to be a very large ie expensive accumulator to work a rotary motor is the auxiliary double acting or just a single feed and return
