  1. the problem was burst fuel hose and the throttle cable had jumped out so hopefully no parts required cheers

  6. i got handed in a jonsered strimmer at the weekend where can i get spares for it
  7. sounds like the rack is stuck or the stop solenoid is goosed take the stop solenoid out and see if it works and push the rack with a screwdriver try and fire it up with the stop solenoid out but get ready to push the rack to stop it

  9. can anybody help me id its grey/blue dust looks like overspray it was on an apple tree i had a picture but i cant upload for some reason when you touch it goes red slimy like jam any ideas anybody:confused1:

  12. we bought a second hand one about a year ago its only 13 hp and we get quite a lot of work for it i would say its definately worth while but we are only a 2 man band a small band at that:thumbup1:
  13. has it had new liners fitted as these engines are notorious for cracked liners
  14. this is most unusual to have to do this with a landrover as most of them piss out oil from everywhere keeping most rust at bay:laugh1:

  18. i didn't realise it wasnt a rotating grab
  19. could also be the centre post seals on the rotor if the piston has broken the thread inside it take the rod end pin out and the rod will probably come out in your hand if its the seals that have gone in the cyl take hose of the rodend of the cal and blank the hose if its bypassing there will be a heavy flow of oil out of the port on the cyl
  20. check the depth of the rim on the idler sometimes they get worn and aren't very square and need rebuilt and check they aren't wobbling about on their bearings
  21. i wonder how many cars he totalled getting it right
  22. don't forget dewalt they do quite a good one
  23. do yourself a favour and get a pressure gauge you are wasting your time without knowing pressures
  24. the big cat was made by bucyrus who were formerly o&k until they were sold of by terex who's was the volvo demolition rig
  25. had both of mines done on seperate occasions bloody agony first one got infected and i got put in a dementia ward woke up to an old bloke in the bed opposite drinking his piss. second one was no bother but both knees still clunk and click anyway good luck with the opp:thumbup:
