  2. why not it shows that a quality machine that is pretty old can still do the job that it was built for also theres good profit for dealers selling second hand machinery if it breaks down you can even win out of selling parts win win win

  6. my plan was to burn wood chip alongside logs and drip feed the chip into the firebox to do this i have built a geared auger as a prototype but the irregularity off the chip was causing the probs it also needed an adjustable timer so that it was was fed in at a cotrollable rate is it worth the hassle ?

  8. whats the definition of dryish chip i tried it in mines with ash chip at 30% moisture and it just sat and smoked also i had problems with the auger blades getting bent with long straggley bits of chip does yours feed all the time or is it timed cheers

  14. we have got a wallyping pong long dong chinese copy of a honda 13hp in our stump grinder and its done fantastic can't knock it to be honest they are pretty good:thumbup:

  19. when i built ours i ended up making a flywheel/pulley out of 25mm plate as i couldnt get a pulley heavy enough
  20. i have solar pv and water ,used to have a wind turbine have got a wood boiler etc and until you actually start to make/generate your own power you dont realise how much power/heat we actually use if everybody would cut down it would make a lot of difference you dont notice gas going thru a pipe or electricity goin thru the meter until you try to replace it with your own making
  21. change the core to a more open fin design, fibrous type stuff is less likely to get caught
  22. jetwash but watch you don't flatten the fins
  23. i was looking at one but decided to modify our own little david instead wrong of the year to be spending money they look like a decent bit of kit good idea with the carry handles on it
