  8. ur just 2 miles up the road as well i passed the other day when i was up dumping chip and the snow along the road was level with the window on the van in places we butchered the little david as it was pretty ropey i was always concerned how close your feet/legs are to the cutter head i can do without losing legs. it done the job for a while and now its even narrower than it used to be:thumbup:

  11. the 35t komatsus that i used to look after would handle a 3ton scrap shear and a gob full of scrap at full stretch no bother so i think a long skinny pop should be well within its capabilities
  12. ive seen it before on scrap shears usually it just keeps breaking the motor bolts the slew ring must be really worn to break the shaft are you sure it isnt the crossover valve thats jammed shut
  13. had a look at them i dont know if its worth building one i might stop at what i have done already i still have to make up a drawbar for the arbtrolley and i think that will do it . i has enough pulling power so i reckon we can even use it for taking the chipper offroad it can't be any worse than the iveco for offroading
  14. next part of the project might be a brush mower gonna have a look about for inspiration
