  1. 81 cc i believe. i bought it from a bloke in st andrews he bought 250 of them at an army auction and has gradually been selling them off theyre was a mixture of 181&281 huskys
  2. been snowed off all week so i decided to fit a decompression valve aid starting as it has a fair bit of compression i have never had a barrel off a saw before but they are quite easy to strip down
  3. remember to check pressures reqd for operation as flow=speed+ pressure=power
  4. i bought an ex army 281xp will this be big enough to power a mill

  12. the bigger they are the easier they are to drive because they have wider and longer feet remember you dont have to work it flat out 3/4 revs is fine and keep the 2 speed travel in the slowest speed:thumbup:

  15. well sod it heres mines i managed to salvage most of the building materials the mantelpiece was my first cherry tree i cut down the hearth was a slate worktop that i hijacked from a chemical plant i was involved in knocking down i had to sand the acid marks out of it and the brickcame from grangemouth high school when it was gettin knocked down
  16. if i have wrecked a chain i use an electric grinder for a quick sharpen i use a file guide but sometimes i find that after i use the electric grinder it hardens the cutter and the file just skites off and doesnt do nowt
  17. usually on diesels the power components are different between turbo and non turbo ie piston cooling nozzles ,camshaft , injectors , pistons ,valves ,fuel pump etc. its not usually power that kills an engine its rpm and too much heat you would be better to leave well alone or find another engine to fit
  18. translated this means the set up has a poor design the wheel should not have a big gap on the spigot it should be a snug fit:thumbup:
  19. i suppose i should drink more but im always tempted not to because when you are up in a tree its not to handy to come back down for the bog and its not always easy to piss from the top of a tree in a back garden when the neighbours are watching:001_rolleyes:
  20. crikey i thought i was doing well with my log logstore but it looks nothing compared to some of these im impressed how much everybody puts into theyre stores
  21. why do i sometimes get cramps when i am climbing it can be a right pain in the **** and can be quite dangerous especially when you are a saw am i just getting old? somebody told me it was a lack of salt in my diet but i am scottish so my unhealthy diet of chips and diet irn-bru should have plenty:confused1:
  22. have a look on fleetgaurds website for prefilters and main filters these are what we use on industrial / plant engines and are usually very good at filtering out crap small engines are notorius for having marginal fuel filtration
  23. evry time i take the batteries out the camera to get the cameracard out and put the batteries back in it sets itself to 2004. ancient camera you see!!!!!
  24. i wasworking in cumbernauld ended up sharpening the old chain and finishing off with :thumbup:that
