  1. just got next years calendar in i like to do my bit for the air ambulance service i was trying to upload a picture but can't do it for some reason:confused1:
  2. finally got a chance to get a proper look at the engine stripped off the fuel filter a wee bit of fine crap in the bottom, took of the float bowl and main jet another fine bit of **** in the jet there was no emulsion tube up the centre took of the idle jet it was kinda furry cleaned everything back together and tried it again still no better i am now thinking there is something in one off the galleries in the carb another carb required i think any other thoughts have i missed anything obvious
  3. how do your engines run they as sweet as a nut hold steady rpm it appears i have a lemon
  4. i haven't done anything on subaru engines at all and am looking for some pointers i have a brand new 9hp subaru engine and it hunts all thru the speed range and does an intermittent back fire every minute or so any pointers i have changed the fuel and cleaned the filter bowl but there was nothing to speak off in it cheers in advance
  5. sounds like a lot of grief for poor results that looks like a chinese chipper your as well buying a second hand decent make than a new ping pong 2 cocks made in china effort also look at the actual weight it doesn't sound like the weight matches what its capacity is

  7. i aint surprised at there being more thefts of high value equipment the price of scrap is at an all time low and there is very little seasonal trimming jobs etc to go around sad to hear you've been done over
  8. i was out doing some repairs to a takeuchi last week and was very impressed with the build quality
  9. i ordered it from large in ireland pretty good service had it up and running for a short spell to try it out so far pretty impressed very quick i can see it being really good for stringy silver birch

  12. yep similar set up to ours went for eta 40 kw with a storage tank and got rhi on it
  13. how did you find it on fuel i never done that quantity in one go so i never really noticed how much fuel went into it
  14. i am looking at the 13 t magik petrol i need something that can do 1m+ logs and be fast and all that within a compact storage size

  16. hi chaps has anybody got a thor log splitter i am looking for some feedback pros cons i am looking for something with a smaller footprint to take up less space in the workshop
  17. I aint a fan of thumbs on excavators we had quite a few issues with 35+45 ton liebherrs snapping the end of the dippers the way the geometry works with a fixed grab it basically tries to rip the end of and its amplified with a quick hitch
  18. we have a verdo plant near us as well and i was in doing some modifications to some steam lines and the first thing that struck me was the energy input to make pellets and briquettes it sounds simplistic but why chop up logs and chip and compress them to make logs:confused1:
  19. does the back of the liebherr dipper not come with mounting plates as standard i know on the standard dippers they do
  20. we've got 1 and we do anything to avoid using it the first big saw we go for is the 395 the 880 is good for ringing up but its just a big awkward unwieldy thing
