8. Hi simon, it cost me just shy of 22k. I must admit the "toy" factor was an influence. I seem to use it spasmodically it has spells of work and gaps of non use. If I was an accountant I would say sell but it doesent eat much and can make some jobs really easy and safer. If your not too far from bury your welcome to come and have a look! Regards Tony

17. From the way you present it it appears the "BOSS" is wanting it all ways. employ people on a self employed basis, (which means they are to supply their own tools to do the job), You don't mention if the winch was checked lolered (which it should be as a piece of lifting equipment) or the circumstances of the incident, age and condition of winch etc. It sounds to me like there should be a compromise somewhere in all this. If your mate wants to continue working for this chap could he purchase and use his own winch? Rarely are these things black and white. Meet the Boss halfway seems reasonable and certainly worth a try! ( I make the comments as a Boss BTW) Things can break every day that's why the Boss builds overheads and contingencies into each job. If itw wilfull neglect or damage your mate should offer to pay.. that's my two pennyworth....
18.
Pete, I have a leak on my greenmech fuel tank. (plastic tank on a 19-28 ) is it a relatively cost effective option to fit a new tank? the housing appears to be all bolted on.Itsleaking from the site glass boss but to be fair the plactic tank is fairly twisted and warped. Not sure how that happened. Best Regards Tony Wilkinson

19. Hi there, whats the cost please? regards Tony7
20. Dick Leigh now had a van delivering and "handing over" parts and repairs personally. I am in the main a husky man, however I do have stihl saws as well. They are well built Reliable and rarely break unless worn out or abused. Maybe its time to end this stihl rant and just get on with the job. We use saws professionally for a living. If it breakd get it fixed! if your so reliant on a particular saw buy a spare.. Simples....
21. Hi all, so a kindling machine just does the splitting right? I never knew that..
