  1. Very late morning check in here - left at 7-45 for a funeral and just got home after a few (lot) of beers. My son has a funeral tomorrow so an easy day of log deliveries and processing for me 👍
  2. I have sold plenty of well seasoned yew, right down to just over an inch diameter. Time consuming preparing it for sale but makes a lot more than as firewood 👍
  3. Morning all 👍 frosty here too, just let the chickens out then two log deliveries to do before lunchtime
  4. We always had a Muscovy when I was a kid - tastier than an Aylesbury. love a properly cooked goose as well 👍
  5. Exactly this - last time I saw them was two years ago and it wasn’t great ☹️ up till about five/six years ago he could still hit the notes. I can’t remember the name but he had an excellent guest vocalist at one gig - really really good. Would be good if Ian would do the storytelling, flute playing etc and have this vocalist take over the singing. I’ll just remember the great gigs and play Bursting Out for my fix of old school Tull 😏
  6. At a quoted 4.8 hp this is unlikely to be powerful enough to run anything but the smallest of grinders. what make and model of grinder is it and what engine is fitted at the moment? I’m sure someone with more technical knowledge than me will be along soon 👍
  7. 😂😂 would have gone every night but queuing for tickets was a nightmare - separate queue for each night. Also had booked to see them in Belgium but that got cancelled. I think I’ve seen them 20/21 times. Jethro Tull/Ian Anderson probably about the same. Still get to gigs a few times a year - everything from Yes, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Bad Manners, The Selecter, Kosheen, 80s bands, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Wardrunna, The Hu - I have a very varied taste! Nightwish are on my to see list
  8. Me too - saw them total of six times on that tour in 84. Hammersmith odeon four times, Milton Keynes bowl and Crystal Palace 👍
  9. Got it 👍
  10. Got a fwd about 6 weeks ago, roller shutter toolbox and all ali body. Seems pretty good so far. Bit underpowered compared to my 3 litre daily but I expected that. Doesn’t carry the weight as well so need to offload a bit more often but that’s partly offset by much improved fuel consumption - around 30-40% better. Mainly on tarmac is fine - struggles a bit at my tip site when the mud gets really nasty so I avoid the worst areas. Tows 6 inch chipper easily enough
  11. The Shack, Fisherman’s Village, Koh Samui, Thailand I very rarely eat steak but this is one place I always will. All their food is superb and cooked on open coals right in front of you. Not cheap by Thai standards, but less than you’d pay in Europe. Keep meaning to treat myself the the Wagyu “next time” 👍
  12. Absolute genius - seen them twice and blown away each time 👍
  13. Advertised on tv a lot lately but I’ve been had several pairs for a couple of years and all still in good nick - elastic still good. I’ve chucked out most of my old normal boxers
  14. Step ones all the way - keeps everything in place away from pinching leg straps 😏
  15. Tried crickets, silkworms, scorpions etc in Thailand- not much taste really, odd crunchy then floury texture. Wouldn’t bother again
  16. Japan - utter tosh
  17. I’ve been using Rotatechs in my Jensen for nearly ten years (not the same blades obviously) without a problem. Haven’t worn any quicker than genuine Jensen blades
  18. ALDIs are pretty good, along with stollen of course. no to the brandy butter or cream though 🤮 - little bit of single cream or or on their own 👍
  19. There’s a time and a plaice for all that 👍
  20. Probably Exeter rather than Essex 👍
  21. Location will help, plus access for vehicles/loading? species and sizes too
  22. Looking at other comparables anything over 20k for that is overpriced.
  23. Two eighteen hole courses near us have been built on - I remember them being turned into golf courses when I was a kid about 50 odd years ago. Now a sea of concrete and brick ☹️
  24. Only have cold drinks, even in the winter so squash, juice or even just water will do. not a fan of tea, only have one strong black filter coffee first thing in the morning which gets things moving if you know what I mean - definitely don’t want that effect whilst out working! if it’s really cold I’ll accept a hot drink just to warm my hands on. A couple of my regulars will do bacon sandwiches for us and one will pop out to Greggs for sausage rolls- love working there 👍
  25. Morning all - bit of a frost here. Just off to repollard a weeping willow and cut back some mixed hedging glad it’s going to be dry 👍
