  1. Try these Compare our stoves I got the StoveTec Wood/ Charcoal, green one. Works bril
  2. Second that, still got mine and will never part with it
  3. sell it and buy a real saw you can get parts for. or maybe yours will never break down, could be an omen there:lol:
  4. I had a new ford galaxy about 10 years ago, a friend had the same one a week before mine. Both cars the turbo failed at under 800 miles? both were well looked after & both replaced under warrentee. Just a duff batch of turbo's said the men at ford.
  5. I would think twice about going near it without finding out how you legally stand. it can be a mine field of legal loop holes and you step one foot wrong and they come down on you hard, police dont even know the law and will probably pass it onto another authority. But be warned, if they get a phone call from a member of the public they will come out faster than a rat up a drain pipe and will not take "I didnt know" for an excuse. Be on the safe side or it could cost you more than a wasted days work!!
  6. I been using three (not all in one hand) Motorola GP300 UHF for the last 5 years, pretty good coverage but went for some cheap Chinese short antenna which drooped the usable distance down to 1/4 mile in rough ground. Standard antenna it works fine so went back to them. Battery lasts all day & more but charge them every time just in case. Licence has come down I think it was last year and now around £50 for 3 years I think, without digging paper work out im not 100% sure. We tired the licence free radios which are good for short distance and you end up with kids or mountain bikers chatting away, you dont get that crap with a licensed radio, I looked into it before I got mine and VHF should have the edge in woodland but went for UHF because it was a good deal and not sorry, very pleased with the GP300 they really are bomb proof. Spares are easy to get, look on ebay there are hundreds so should be ok for years to come, there are new models out now but they are like saws...... not always the best move to get the latest model. they look like this Motorola gp300 uhf | eBay They will work where a phone dont, but have to have someone to talk to
  7. Nice one boys, keep the bacon & pan handy. The more you walk on that ground the worse it gets as you now know:thumbdown: Been there done that, suffered, laughed, fell, got soaked......... Great job:thumbup:
  8. probably a V8 under that cover :-)
  9. I would say the husky as long as your young & fit, they wont let you down and fly through anything you throw at it. its a personal choice, try both if you can
  10. No one has mentioned the good old reliable Landrover Defender I used to love them but in later years, need a little comfort :-) This should stir some memories
  11. STIHL MS200T TOP HANDLED PROFESSIONAL ARBOURISTS CHAINSAW | eBay
  12. great tool, much quicker than a brush. You had the bargain of the year, good on ya
  13. So where do they all go when a new model comes out :-)
  14. Thanks Charlieh good link if "Propeller" is Acetone then its available at any good fibreglass roofing supplies for 1/3 the cost! but i bet they wouldnt tell you that, is there anything on the bottles saying what the chemical is in case of accident etc? I think there should be but if not that makes me think someone is keeping it quiet and making a load of money
  15. smells very much like Acetone!
  16. I would say SS is better than Ali, probably costs more but as far as "pro's & con's" go I would say SS wins. As for size, what can I say except big is best :-)
  17. Why not have a word with Rich2484 http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members-only/48231-question-over-gun-licence.html He got a gun !! Problem solved (but could cause another if you get caught)
  18. Castrol R Them were the days :-)
  19. I really hope Stihl does keep records, being German they probably do but they would only know if the unfortunate owner keeps a record and tells them. I engrave all my tools, always have done. Should have done it on the boat I had nicked but didnt, the bastards. Anyway, all you can do is ask Stihl, the police will be absolutly useless unless you get an out of the way bobby who has time and looks at it as a challenge. The nornal bobby's just dont want to know, half will wonder what a chain saw is and the other half will not have a clue what a top handle saw is. Good luck
  20. I had one of these years ago, sure it was around 98-110cc and vibrated like it was :-) Nice sound though but heavy. A good old slogger in its day but sold it for £125 in freeads (pre evilbay) 30 years ago
  21. Can anyone point me in the right direction to a parts pdf for an Allen Pro42 (engine Komatsu G4K) Thanks and enjoy the sunny weekend
  22. Yes I agree, Enduro great sport for men not boys with toys. cant do it these days but had my fun practising in welsh forests before it all went tight:001_tt2: arr the good old days Husqvarna 250WR 1987, my son had a Cagiva 125WR He was getting fast on a track but didnt have the staying power for the long haul All great fun and miss it with fond memories. Before the kids it was Road Racing and done ok with that too
  23. I wonder if anyone can shine a light on where I can get some disinfectant, I searched and failed to find any, all I got was a link below to a forestry paper/advise sheet but still no link to the Propeller disenfectant:confused1: All I can find out when searching for disenfectant is this (more or less) Phytophthora ramorum – a parasitic fungus to look out for ... Woodlands.co.uk › Blog › Flora & Fauna17 Apr 2011 – ... a recommended disinfectant such as “Propeller TM” which contains industrial methylated spirit (see the excellent Forestry Commission pdf on ... Any ideas:thumbup1:
