  1. Id expect to have the tree down in a couple of hours, wouldn't fell it into garden regardless given how close you can park, cut and chuck and chip as you go should take no time at all. Pictures lie but with the stump I'd probably be around the £550 mark, if got no work on maybe £450 to get It?
  2. Fair enough, I was thinking more about these reports of several chainsaws going missing from vans overnight. Occasionally I'll bring some tools home to get a good start or if don't need the chipper the next day but they're now inside the house which is alarmed!
  3. It's a key you can get online for about £25 that gets into any transit. Although why anyone leaves tools in a van with crime like it is, is a bit beyond me
  4. Don't know how to help with the sleep, I got robbed November last year so am especially alert this time of year, especially seeing all these report, and don't even have any kit at home anymore! Still have dreams about finding my stuff gone again 😡 Just go one day at a time, I found a couple of weeks later until it hit me and had to say to the wife excuse me for the next little while cos I'm not doing great right now. Just try not to dwell on what's happened or it drives you crazy
  5. What mark said. I struggle to get my head around all these which fuel posts. I use whatever petrol the garage sells when I need to fill up and still on the stihl red oil and it's never caused me a single problem. I've even left this mix in a saw for 6 months before and it started third pull
  6. You can try the Facebook selling pages as well, got mine due to a post on there, buyer beware obviously (check it's a real company etc before turning up!)
  7. Looks normal as mine has oil at the top like that, think it's just where it sprays off of the bar. Also lost that bottom bolt but just replaced it
  8. The website needs work, can't find prices or click the chipper section as the text is all overlapping
  9. Handy looking tool, especially with being able to tow a trailer behind it to chip into, as long as it can still pull it when loaded!
  10. Trying to think like a criminal would you not just hitch it up and drag the chipper down the road until the lock disintegrated? Never seen one that would hold up to much
  11. While we're on the subject, anyone used the bulldog euroclamp? [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/BULLDOG-SECURITY-Bulldog-EuroClamp-EM500SS/dp/B005LMZM64]Bulldog EuroClamp EM500SS: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31HL2vCJ5tL.@@AMEPARAM@@31HL2vCJ5tL[/ame] I've got the bigger one but been thinking about getting one of these for out and about to make life a bit easier
  12. Yeah I have one of those, pretty sturdy, a grinder would get through it and it's a bit fiddly to get on but it's all about layers of security so if I'm out with it there's a chain to get thorough as well and night times there's a whole bunch more locks, cctv etc before you get to the stage of getting the wheel clamp off!
  13. Nope but a few days off of Christmas and still in double figures for at least the coming week! Only lightly scraped the windscreen once this year
  14. Well I think we can safely say this years annual doom and gloom coldest winter since the last one is a load of nonsense yet again!
  15. Not quite to my taste but looks good. What's the one behind it? Don't recognise the hopper?
  16. If you're clever you don't even need a pound 😉
  17. Sounds like it's not detecting the chip in the key so immobiliser is staying on
  18. Buy these ones https://packingsorted.co.uk/product/trolley-bags-original-vibe-set-4-bags/?gclid=CJq5-IKL5skCFQaeGwod_xQMlg Brilliant, especially if you ever go to Aldi as you can pack as fast as they scan and just walk out. Equally if you use the scanner self pay thingy in Tesco can pack as you go no fuss

    Echo cs 501

Had the older cs510, good engine, crappy AV
  20. I wouldn't pay that price for a new one, may as well go for the 125. I do rate the machines though. I haven't used the cs100 but saw one in the dealers near me and wasn't overly keen on its height (for loading onto a transit), lack of being able to direct the chute and thought it would be easy for some scallywag to pull up, pick it up and have it away in the back of a van Also they hold their money well, sold mine for £500 more than I paid for it after 18 month daily use
  21. They do block a fair bit especially on dead conifer, you have to cut branches appropriately, not too many forks and not too long (depending on species- lime go nuts!) because you won't be able to stop whatever you put in as snatches it out of your hand and then you'll get it blocked up. Well worth getting, I got a used one for 2k over a new best part of 5k cs100 which would also need a trailer
  22. That's not a wee chipper, that's a proper one 😉 I miss the one I had, was nice to be able to move it about one handed and on straight stuff was faster than a hydraulic one
  23. It's a click bait website link aka spam! thread needs deleting

I love the fallout games, but a one year old and a four year old stop any time to play these days
