  1. Had the same when my tw18/100 went, had planned on keeping it as a backup until my transit went wrong and had to get the cash for a replacement quick, got £500 more than I paid for it though but would still prefer to have it around
  2. Nothing worse than having a toy to try out and can't! Remember my first chipper, got it to site and was throwing anything bigger than a twig through it inside of 5 minutes of arriving!
  3. Had one of those and the number is stamped under the discharge chute
  4. Yup a little bent. I'll stick with the chains for now but keep spares with me!
  5. It's like this, a bit more damage than I'd expect from a nail that I didn't feel or hear
  6. No but only after hitting stones, concrete, thick nails etc but I'd expect to hear or feel them. Never noticed anything till started a new cut and it bounced off the wood! A sharpen and no longer cutting in a straight line. Not gonna mess with it too much as its only a £6 chain, but as said the initial feel was spot on before that
  7. I'm not convinced it will due to the damage, gave it a sharpen, a good 7 strokes to get back to an edge, got the cutting speed back but was cutting around corners after that. Guessing the scoring is causing it (been doing this 16 years so think I've got the hang of sharpening!) but the metal wasn't hard on the file at all so a regular sharpen shouldn't be a problem. I'll get a pic in the morning
  8. Used the 550 today for the first time on this chain, initially cut brilliantly, but on cutting down a stump must have hit something, didn't feel a nail (cut was about a meter off of the ground so not dirt) chain is scored much more than I'd have expected so a bit concerned the metal is too soft. Probably gonna chuck that chain and start over with the other one 🤔
  9. I wouldn't keep any kit at a yard that you're planning on keeping, so many stories of containers on farms/yards being emptied overnight
  10. Any good?

Trying to get market share I reckon, they've started paid only ads when you advertise business services now

Have someone outbid everyone with say a £1000 bid, give it a day or so and then have them cancel the purchase, not your fault they changed their mind!
  14. What he said, although haven't replaced mine yet, it has stretched after 14 months of use
  15. If it's 45hp that's the same as the 190?
  16. That's my thought, I commented on the post so be interesting to see if they reply or remove the pic! It's def not a standard 230
  17. Just saw a post by timberwolf in their Facebook feed and had this pic of a chipper on it Looks like it had the air filter from the tw190 on it and the tube where (I think) the manual goes is on the other side to the 230. Hard to tell but I'd also say the exhaust looks higher and it's also missing the model number and 750kg sticker that's usually on the 230. Or am I just imaging it??
  18. Hopefully decent thickness metal for the money. Saw a sentribox on display once and could push the top in like it was a baking tray!
  19. To be fair I have once been stopped by the police and serial number checked, shame it doesn't happen more (but only on the way to work, not on the way back / near a weigh bridge though!)
  20. They're 70cc now, the older ones a are 65
  21. You wouldn't have the space, the current holes are 10mm and there's not masses of room left over for a bigger hole, plus the wheel is in two halves, and then you'd have to factor in the spacing to not hit off centre existing holes to leave them too big, if that all makes sense! Ideal you'd just get another wheel made, God knows what that would cost to be made bespoke!
  22. Afraid so, that's what I'm gonna be doing until can afford a bigger self driven (hopefully turn table) machine
  23. Nope any change needs a new wheel, can't remember the exact figures but multitip was around £500+ vat. By the time you pay that kind of money to switch it takes a fair few teeth to make up the difference in comparison with just sticking with the original ones. Best bet is get a cordless grinder and a diamond disc and keep them touched up
  24. They don't fit, I checked! The holes are 25mm apart and greenteeth are 40mm
