  1. Just picked up the 2016 Stihl catalogue (UK), and it looks like the 261 and the 362 has had an update. I was wondering if they are coming to the uk and if they are, when will they be coming??
  2. Thanks for the help everyone, got to give it a real think!
  3. Hi everyone, im looking at doing the FdSc Arboriculture on-line degree through Myerscough college, and i want to find some things out about it before i decide to do it, and i know some of you guys have done the course. -How long do you spend per day doing the work? -How does the videoconferencing part of the course work? will i have to get a camera?? -And do employers value an online degree in the industry as much as a normall one? Any help or tips would be much appriciated, Thanks!!
  4. Would going into tree surgery be an easier root to start with?
  5. Hi everyone, im in my final year at college doing L3 arb and forestry. I am looking at different employment options when i leave, and like the idea of starting my own business doing woodland management (woodland clearing, thinning, tree felling) and selling the nice timber to the mill, and the rest as fire wood. I have access to tractors and an area too store wood in the dry. Obviously there are a few questions i have before starting up, so any help would be appreciated. -How easy is it to find work doing woodland clearing/thinning and tree felling? -Any tips/advice for this type of work? -How to you guys sell your nice timber to the mill? do you just give them a ring before you cut it or after? -Is there money to be made selling firewood? -How do you deliver your firewood? pickup? Thanks in advance
