  1. They might be better because they are smaller so less stresses?
  2. Yeah right! Of course you'd leave a handful of bolts rattling around an engine bay!
  3. It's a shame as they look decent machines, I've got a dealer who I pass every day 15 minutes from my house and considered buying a 130 from but after my cousin had a 150 and got rid after a year (I only used it twice and found a bolt under it and it was never worked out where it came from! - was from the machine as matched the other bolts) and other reviews I wouldn't have one
  4. I'd have said so, I've got a 550xp that's a pain to start when it's warm out so that will be eBayed and replaced with a 261 when I get over the open wallet surgery of the 461! But overall i think there's lots of noise from unhappy customers but the other 1000's of saws out there you never hear about cos the owners haven't anything to complain about
  5. I prefer the newer stuff to be honest with the exception of the 200t, but they weren't perfect due to carbs and off switches. Recently bought a ms461 and it's brilliant. Had a ms261 which really liked until it got stolen, never liked the 260 as was too sluggish even if they do last forever
  6. https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/201513734082
  7. Thanks I'll give it a miss them, don't need another saw but as a throwaway investment I don't mind £125 for a branded saw over the Argos tat!
  8. These any good for a chipper saw or a bit small/slow? Looks the right kind of price that if went missing if left it out of sight while went to get some branches it wouldn't be the end of the world!
  9. Are they the same fitting as the 550 as those are listed? I've had them for the husky 365 as well which is listed
  10. Just search the saw model and piranha and they show up
  11. Guess that depends on if that's take home after everything? Insurances advertising etc? I think if going for a new machine then have a good few months payments put to one side. I felt the same so went used and payed a little under 6k with a small loan and cash so no stress if it's sitting for a bit when I'm quiet
  12. I don't think there is that much difference in overheads, looking at arblease the difference in the cs100 vs the gm130 is £100 a month or £25 a week. Labours gonna be your biggest outlay so saving time makes up the difference and more if you can do just one extra small job a month!
  13. You'd probably outgrow that too being a 20hp petrol 35hp diesel is where it's at !
  14. I'd prefer charge full price, throw it through a quick chipper and be away onto the next one than charge less ?? Work longer as chipper slower and still have a chipper to pay for
  15. I'm sure they're decent, thought about getting one but preferred tow behind rather than needing a trailer, plus paid 2k for it and sold it for 2.5k! Also how many customers want the chip? Very rarely when I ask do they want any so think it would be very limited how often it would be needed to get into a back garden?

    Fuel canister

Had a dealer check they fit before i bought a 540 or probably wouldn't have got the saw cos hate the husky cans so much!

    Fuel canister

Nonsense they fit fine! Agree on the husky can, did the same thing, would happily pay double for the stihl
  18. Noticed the same thing on my 550 felt like the file was blunt. Tried one on my 365 as well but didn't get on with it, cut pretty slowly, but then the saw is a bit tired so eBayed it and bought a ms461 instead 👍🏻, that saw will be staying on stihl chains only!
  19. Close, I did well with the timberwolf 18/100 for a year as a first chipper, handled pretty much anything and i'd put that as the minimum level required but once you move up to 6 inch roller fed life is much easier
  20. That's what I've got, starts and cuts perfectly every time, will price up the bits and switch them if they're not too much hassle?
  21. Honey bros Facebook page announced they had them a few weeks back, need a AV spring for mine so been holding back until it's definitely available, also thinking about selling my existing t540 and getting the newer one once a few reports have come back
  22. Did you get the newer version 540 with the upgraded Spring and engine? Wondering how different they are to the current model

    Ms260 and Ms 026

You even see the really old 0 series (024 026 etc) stuff selling north of £200, now that stuff is better part of 20 years old now!

    Ms260 and Ms 026

They seem to go for the same money as working ones, which is usually a tenner short of a brand new one!
  25. Most of your posts in the past follow a similar pattern, I don't understand what makes keyboard warriors/trolls tick but there's no need for it
