  1. the Echo 355T is known over here as the 360T and the latest edition is known as the 362T i believe. They are good value for money saws but i reckon the Stihl 201T has the edge on performance.
  2. my mate has 2 Grafters, one an older 3.0 that would pull a house down and one is the newer 1.9 that really seems to lack the necessary minerals and he hates it when he's out of town with a load on as it dies on hills whereas the old 3.0 romps up the same hills.
  3. congratz, had you been trying for long?
  4. rub those hands together J!
  5. a mad mixture of overcast to full on greyness, brightness and sunshine to heavy rain showers and all manner of oddness. I'm stihl tidying the garage...

  8. Hello, I have an imported 4x4 pickup that can be a bit tricky to get quotes for. Can anyone offer me insurance company recommendations please. TTFN
  9. it does look nice. I also watched the promo video for the DCS 2500T, be interesting to see how that does against the competition.
  10. i remember Goaty, very sad as i think he was involved in a truck driving accident.
  11. really like that, looks to have good chip capacity as some MOGS appear to have small chip bins.
  12. i am amazed considering the social media coverage these 2 bellends have had that they have not had a leatherin' from some burly farmer.
  13. the same Ranger has been spotted over at Yarcombe.
  14. amazed the front diff doesn't need to be swapped out too as i assumed it would suffer from transmission wind up?
  15. try Chipper Hire South West who are based near Westpoint, Exeter.
  16. good point, yep yer into big money there.
  17. might be worth finding out what Diff ratio is required and try the forums / scrap yards etc.
  18. and the stihl chain is less aggressive too.
  19. cool pics Twiggy! i guess the spiralling add to it's strength.
  20. u in the uk Mark?
  21. if the space is a bit tight and i'm concerned the limb will drop too quickly for me to get the chainsaw out of the way so as to avoid cutting the rigging line the YES i will use a silky to finish the cut as i can withdraw that in a more controlled and swifter manner. It's all to easy to nick ropes with a chainsaw or silky so i do my best in every situation so as to avoid it.
  22. I get quite a few telephone enquiries regarding roadside ash die back and they ask me 'how much is it gonna cost me' to which i reply 'i need to come out and see the job and trees in question' then i get 'surely you must have some idea?' and i reply 'if you randomly ring up a builder and asked how much will it cost to build a house, without giving them a plan or more information then what kind of an answer would you expect?' I try and sound light hearted and humorous whilst explaining the situation and they usually chuckle when they realise how clueless they sound over the telephone!
  23. i'm a gonna cut the zorst open and extract the 'Cat', then hopefully get it [properly muff modded so it looks a good job.
  24. ya thas them feckers.
  25. considering a Simarghu harness meself, i am going to check one out at a dealers and seeing as the Monkey Beaver is not stocked over here i'd rather have a good look before spending my hard earned. I like the idea of a UK made harness too.
