  1. i simply drain off the 2T mix out of the big saws and run the carb dry. I'm not interested in using Aspen.
  2. yep i went the same route after running a 4x4 with high sides whilst towing a high sided Ifor trailer, i eventually bought a cheap MK6 Transit crewcab tipper and sold the Ifor. I still have a 4x4 pickup though so i have the best of both worlds.
  3. love the Li 2500T but i don't rate the Panther chain as it's too 'jumpy' compared to Stihl chain so i run it on an 8 inch Panther bar with stihl chain which suits my needs better. The stihl chain holds it's edge better too.
  4. ok ok ok i'm no out to fat shame ye!
  5. she has sum udders on herself thas fer sure!
  6. Yep me and me missus reckon the same so we are banking dollar as quickly as we can just in case. She got Furloughed but quickly decided not to rest on her laurels and got anudder job within 10 days as she was concerned about mass unemployment and the associated misery. I think ya shud play it safe and take that site job, it may only be for 6 months or so but it'll feed yer massive belly!
  7. Ring of Bells, food is truly amazing but i usually frequent the Half Moon.
  8. Thanks for the thought. I more than likely know the favoured 'local' or it could even have been me! I drink in Cheriton Fitzpaine.
  9. I was chatting to a lad i know today and he was raving on about the Eder 1800 being brilliant as his employer has one. I may splash the cash meself and buy one.
  10. i agree, bigger setups are flat out on ADB and even 'bottom feeders' like meself are reaping the benefits at the moment! I see some people throwing money at bigger kit, additional vehicles etc. I am small fry compared to the local competition but i have never been so busy. I have 18 site visits to do over the next 2 days. Lets see how hungry we all are come Jan. 2021
  11. Hello all. Short notice i know but all my usual contacts are booked up. I'm looking for a climber to help out for 3 days on a job in Devon topping out pine trees in a small private woodland. The job can be any 3 days from the 5th October onwards. £150 per day. thanks, Ken 07946 606093
  12. ok i embellished that tale of woe, it was a failed crank seal.
  13. ya a chap i now had a MK2 550 go bang after 2 weeks in the woods, Husky had to diagnose and rebuild it under warranty.
  14. post it up on the Barnstaple Facebook Marketplace page and it will go quite quickly or try these people. https://www.google.com/maps/@51.0917739,-4.0932017,17z
  15. Big stuff. notice the credit to Jerry Beranek at 6.32
  16. bet he can't put a Rowntrees fruit pastille in his mouth without chewing it.
  17. hello Dave, I feel you pain regarding not being able to easily place long items in the bed without placing them diagonally or having to tie them up against the ladder rack H frame. I make do with a double cab pickup as i don't chip into the back of it that often as i also run a Ford Transhit tipper. I reckon a super cab (1.5 cab) with suicide doors would be ideal for small kids in a kids car seat or on a booster seat but not ideal for an adult unless they had short legs as the journey cud be torture. Super cabs have useful space behind the seats for kit but obviously a proper double cab has quite a bit more space. I know Mitsubishi do a 'Long back' version of the L200 which i believe is a double cab fitted with a single cab or is it a space cab tub on the back? This would give you more length for fence posts etc along with having a proper 5 seater cab.
  18. big ole gurl. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1429383993916296/
  19. ring Sean on 07527 112128, he has a Bandit grinder that would mince those stumps out. Ace Arb – Arborist and tree surgeon WWW.ACE-ARB.CO.UK
  20. whas his ebay username i wonder?
  21. I own a stolen recovered 357xp that looked as though it was a week old when i bought it at a Garda auction in 2008. It too had the VIN plate removed to hide it's identity but when after a filthy stint of utility arb cutting i washed the saw down with brake cleaner to remove crud, sap etc is when the white adhesive sticker containing the serial number became detached from between the fuel tank and crankcase as the brake cleaner scoured away the adhesive, this was handy as it came in useful to know the year of manufacture when i was ordering spares for it. I'd be upfront if you list it on Ebay as a stolen / recovered saw in order to cover yer arse. A MK2 550xp will serve you well.
