  1. I don't think there is such a thing as un-owned land. All land will either be owned or adopted by some one. If it's an alley between two buildings connecting two street it may be wise to ask the council who has responsibility for the alley.
  2. I'm sure I've heard in the past there is/was a LOLER company in Consett Mark. I've always been surprised we never got a certificate when we bought the Vreten trailer.
  3. Aaaaahhh!!! Can't find the info I had on it but it is a Cummins.
  4. Shopping for the Land Rover parts,ha ha!! Here it is from the front
  5. And there was I convinced you were a died in the wool Land Rover owner Dean!!
  6. AEV are an American company who create some great looking and no doubt performing trucks. This Dodge Ram would be some beast for log deliveries!
  7. If you're referring to Neil, the thread originator, he is anything but a "pen pusher" and is probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the biomass world today. As to all the comments re location - tough! We had to travel over 200 miles to the APF so if your interested in something enough get off your backsides like we normally have to. The price does seem steep though and it would have been nice to have known about it before the cut off for discounted rate.
  8. I go passed Jacksons at Morpeth every Monday Chris and they have recently taken delivery of a new batch of about 8 by the look of it so good choice. Problem with the DAFs is it costs quite a bit to make them road legal and they do not have a great load capacity so by the time you stick a decent crane and stabilisers on you will prob be down to 2 to 3 ton.
  9. Don't forget if you buy a 130 rated at 3500kg you need a class 7 MOT
  10. We have the same winch and have been very pleased with it.
  11. Nope. My friend has had a few different companies in and they all had correct screens in but no one in his eyes produces a genuine G30 chip. Newest one was a brand new heizorhack that still produced a large amount of fines and oversize
  12. Depends on the chipper the wood has gone through as well! My friend has had samples of G30 sent through that are mor elike G50 and yet the producer claims it is perfect G30.
  13. Just to update this thread, Clean Drive recommend you add a tin of their compound every three months. Well, almost 3 months to the day my tank tally dropped back to 330. I let it go for a few weeks and this was the average so I put the second tin of Clean Drive in the tank. The following week I got 359 to the tank and last week I got 384 miles to the tank, the best I've ever had. At £15 a tin, I'm recovering that in two weeks and then the next 10 weeks is all savings.
  14. Well it's certainly got potential!! That chimney looks rather grand for that building. A hell of a project there, keep the pictures coming. looks like a Grand Design!!
  15. Good questions there peatff - yes, if it was better why did Palax not fit in the first place.
  16. I have a Palax KS35 running on Oregon bar and .325 chain. My mate reckons it would work much better (cut faster and easier) on 3/8ths. Has anyone done this and found any advantages??? How easy was it to change the sprocket on the machine???
  17. It is good gear. Fancy this one for firewood and forestry work (but a bit pricey). Waterproof Field Jacket - Country Covers
  18. How long you had it Mark as I think Country Covers usually have a four year guarantee???
  19. Hi Nigel, see a similar thread to this one about wet weather clothing. I am looking for something similar and am considering these two: Waterproof Field Jacket - Country Covers Mallard Waterproof Jacket | Anorak & Coats | Ridgeline |ArdMoor I have a Country Covers field coat I use for shooting and it is great - totally waterproof, windproof, ripstop material so if it does tear its limited to how far it will rip, and breathable. The one above looks a bit more usable for work. Hope this helps.
  20. Get the Ranger Super Cab as a tipper Darren and I'll come and drive for you!!
  21. Agree with the malwa and the falcon I've already hinted at. The Vimek / Alstor stuff is just so disproportionately expensive, you've got to have a grant The Malwa was nice at the APF but it is £170k!!!
