  1. My business email is only on my Blackberry, as far as I am aware I cannot get it on the laptop so I'm not sure on how to change settings etc on Blackberry.
  2. I'm getting 2 or 3 emails a day to my business email address, all from personal names, eg Eve Holland, Sarah May, all offering more or less the same thing - email marketing services. It is getting down right annoying now. I don't want to reply to any of then to tell them to b***er off as they will then know its a valid email address. Does any on know of an organisation I can report them to???
  3. I used to be with Adrian Flux when I had Land Rovers and they used to increase premium by £100 on regular basis. Been with Direct Line for a few years now and it actually comes down sometimes!!
  4. Anyone got one of the above and got the specification sheet for it???
  5. Cheers Peasgood, we'll give that a go. Actually need a new drop arm for the left hand side as the fork has snapped on one side and there's a bit been welded higher up.
  6. Yes Jon, Perkins 62hp
  7. Well, at long last I have my own tractor and after doing a fair bit of travelling, found it ten minutes away from the yard!! It's an International 475, starts well, hydraulics work and have good flow capacity, there is no oil in the water and no water in the oil, and tyres are fairly decent. As you can see it has the air conditioned cab!! Downside, brakes don't work and fair bit of rot around cab, but it is what it is, a decent, honest 40 year old tractor. Its main use will be to run my Palax processor and to mount the winch on we use for forestry work.
  8. Most hauliers we deal with like 3m lengths as they can get four bays on the truck and it makes best use of space
  9. I remember somebody on here stating Coopers were known in the trade as the 50p tyre as they deformed so much! From personal experience it pays to spend a bit extra and buy quality. I had BFG Mud Terrains on a 90 and did 35,000 with minimal wear before I sold it; a Freelander followed which had it's original Michelins on when I sold it with 52,000 miles on the clock; and my present Ranger has Michelins on, 2 of which have done 72,500 miles.
  10. Yes it is Mark - probably up for sale soon. If any body is after a good old school tractor, probably 15 years or older, you better be quick. After visiting a number of dealers, it appears a great number of them are being exported to countries such as Africa, India and South American states who do not want tractors full of electronic wizardry.
  11. Came across these two wehn out and about last week. A Super Major four wheel drive and a County Super 6 (I think!).
  12. Interesting comparison photo
  13. This is correct but I remember there being a limit as well. If you supply more than a ton in a single transaction it should be 20% I think.
  14. Bet you it's a bit bigger than that one Jon??!!!
  15. To you Jon, £20k plus vat!!
  16. Came across this mini Fendt today when out looking for a tractor. The guy reckons it was used for orchard work, was about 85hp and could lift a few ton on the rear linkage.
  17. I would think twice before towing with a Navarra Jon. A friends relative ordered a brand new one a few years back and specified a tow bar which was duly fitted by Nissan. After a few months of use the clutch was slipping and upon returning to Nissan, they stated if he was going to be towing he should've asked for the uprated clutch kit to be fitted!! Apparently telling them he wanted a tow bar was not a big enough clue and they would not pay out under warranty.
  18. Yup, certainly got to look at the super cab option. Ford Ranger, Nissan Navarra and new Isuzu all have opening rear suicide door which gives great access to rear for storing kit; Toyota and Mitsubishi do not have opening rear. I would like a load guard though behind the seats in my super cab to prevent getting hit by any gear in the event of a collision!!
  19. The Ranger has come out tops in all magazine tests I have read and whilst the waiting list was 12 months, a salesman I was talking to last week said it was now down to 4 months (and 2 of that is the time it takes to get it shipped from South Africa). There are quite a few in service with utility companies, mountain rescue, the fire brigade and apparently the army took a sizeable batch of them too.
  20. Money cannot buy that!
  21. I use Wells Lamont leather gloves from Costco, usually £18 for 3 pairs and they last quite a while
  22. If by sliders you mean the fairleads, there is no noticeable wear. Instead of being horizontal, the fairleads are vertical and then there is a large single roller above the chain outlet. It is a lot nicer handling the chain than a wire rope; no risk of strands coming undone and causing injury; and the chain travels through the brash easier than a wire rope would. I would imagine the chain will outlast a wire rope as well.
  23. Couple of extra pics of the winch
  24. Yeah,I'll try and put some more pics on tomorrow. We like it a lot. It has a chain rather than a wire rope which is working well, and it's hydraulic rather than pto so the tractor is just running at tickover.
  25. No, thats just a tipping trailer on the back of an International further down the track
