  1. Wood chip as a fuel even for commercial boilers has to conform to particular sizes, eg. G30 or G50, and moisture content so arb waste is not suitable. To buy a chipper that could produce the correct grade you would be looking at spending upwards of £80,000 plus a power source. Also as some have mentioned, the dirt, grit, leaves, etc on arb waste make it unsuitable - if you had a contract to supply biomass fuel to a commercial boiler it would usually state the chip must be made from virgin timber. The feed augers most of them use are quite temperamental at the best of times.

  8. Cheap 1 ton tracked dumper, New tracks just fitted, Serviced ready to work | eBay Would something like this not work out, would have thought tracked vehicle would be safer than quad bike/wheeled vehicle on the terrain described.

  11. I've got one from Clas Ohlson which looks the same as the Stihl one and cost £20. When compared to my mates which cost £250 and you dial in the species of timber, etc, there is only a few percent difference. And as Steve says, watch the batteries - change them as soon as warning sign appears as it reads way high when batteries are low.

  20. Bought my 07 Super Cab in June 2011 with 27000 miles on the clock. Now has nearly 64000 and apart from servicing and reversing in to a lamp post, it has only needed a UJ on the propshaft and it is starting to go through bulbs!! Averages 30 odd to the gallon, cruises on the motorway great, opening super cab doors gives great access to good storage space behind the seats, carries a good load. As others have said, seats are fairly comfortable but I do have back ache after driving for an hour; would have my old Freelander seats in there in a flash if I could; and reversing in two wheel drive is frightenly fast!
  21. Thanks for letting me out on to the A69 this morning. I spotted the orange machine from the top of the slip road at Lemington Road Ends. Truck looks great in the flesh!!
