  1. I've got a pair very similar although not husqvarna branded, absolutely brilliant! Nice warm boots in the morning, if boots are absolutely soaked they might still be bit damp but wearable, better than stuffing with paper. The best option really is to have two pairs of boots, so you can let them dry properly while wearing the other pair though...
  2. In response to the question, I have been on 10mm OP for about a month, I found it a bit slippy at first but now its bedded in a bit it's much more reliable. Could just be it needs to wear in slightly?
  3. Where are you lot getting AP from? Really want to try some, but honeys have been out for ages and can't find anywhere else that sells it?
  4. Still looking if anyone has any please! Also interested in wild cherry timber any diameter as long as its straight lengths...
  5. Same here, daisy chain, straight in machine no powder and low heat wash
  6. Where are you mate? Very interested, even in any of the smaller bits ...
  7. If you fancy having a go I'm not that far from Bristol, just off J11 m5, you're welcome to come round one weekend and have a go at cutting a few logs to see how you get on...
  8. Thank you all for the replies! I am quite emotionally attached to this Landy, but have realized that it might not be the vehicle that is most sensible for me at the moment. I have no real interest in converting it to a hardtop or anything like that, nor in part exchanging for a different Landy, although thank you for the offers. If I got rid of it I would want to replace it with a l200 ideally, something that the girlfriend is happy to drive, can carry 4 people comfortably and a reasonable distance but that I can still use for work if needs be. I wouldnt consider selling it for less than £3k, I'd rather just keep it as it's worth more than that to me Thank you all for the replies

    Big saw needed

365 x torq so 70cc, I believe easily converted to 372xp? 20" bar but should pull 24" ok, not sure if its a bit too small for you. £300
  10. Is that three seperate twix bars still in packaging, or three fingers of twix with an errant fourth finger in the equation
  11. Chassis has been patched up for previous MOTs and I dare say will need a couple more patches next week, but overall pretty solid.
  12. Hi all, I started a proper job as an employee in Feb, and since then my Landy 110 tipper is somewhat underused, it's nice to have for the occasional job at the weekend but I'm considering selling it and getting an L200 or similar double cab, as most of the jobs I do now don't involve taking waste away. I know what I would want for it, but just want to get a few opinions on what you think it's worth as it's quite a unique one to price! I'm not putting this up as an ad so please don't contact me about that, it will be on Arbtrader with newer pictures than the ones below when I'm ready for it to go. If this thread is breaking any rules or inapproriate, please let me know G reg 110 tipper conversion - 200tdi engine out of a Discovery fitted by previous owner On 160,000 miles but this probably doesn't correspond to the engine at least, and probably a lot of the rest! Tipper body is off an ex army 110 dropside truck, ram etc off a Transit. MOT next week, so sold with full 12 months, 6 months tax Good things: New alternator, starter, prop shafts, steering colum, probably some other things I've forgotten. 4 good General Grabber AT2 tyres, nearly new on the front & half worn or so on the back. Been serviced every 6000 miles since I got it on 90,000 not a clue before then. Looks relatively smart for a 24 year old truck! Bad: Doors need attention, especially windows as they don't wind. Not the neatest inside the cab, but I've seen many worse! There seems to be a problem with the electrics on the engine temperature guage, so when you put headlights/wipers/heater on the gauge goes up. Not very fast, probably top speed of 55mph or so. So baiscally I think it's mechanically pretty sound, but let down a bit by the usual old Landy cosmetic issues. Thoughts?
  13. I was after a new harness a couple of months ago, tried the tree motion for a couple of days from a friend and didn't like it. Went to local shop and tried on about 10 including Sequoia, Tree Austria etc... Settled on Stein Vega, by far the comfiest I've tried to date! Think its so reliant on personal preference though. Ps I used a treehog for a couple of weeks as well, the leg loops are massive almost like a seat and really ride up your backside I found.
  14. What's it for? What length? How much?
  15. It's got a 20" on it Jon, only got it Friday afternoon so pretty new! Also going to get a 25" for the occasional bigger stuff that's not worth getting the big saw out. Basically wanted a saw somewhere between my 545 and the 3120, used this in anger for first time today and pretty pleased so far
  16. Hi all, Got myself a ms461, what a lovely saw! Anyone know if the dual port muffler for the 046/460 will fit, or is it a different part? Cheers

    Boot repair?

On a similar note - I have a pair of protector pros, and an old pair of blue mountain (both haix). Both are good leather, soles etc... But the steel toecap has shifted, my old blue mountain ones are unwearable and the protector pros are heading that way. Anyone know if this is repairable?
  18. Thanks a lot
  19. Hi all, The girlfriend wants to do her cs30 or whatever the new number is, my plan is to teach her the maintenance and tension/compression cuts myself, then find a space for assessment somewhere local. My question is, has anything changed (added/taken away) from the assessment since I did mine in 2005? Just in case there's anything to be caught unawares by...
  20. Don't forget you can always use other end of your rope if your strop is too short, or as a second anchor to triangulate so it's not such a direct swing into stem if the tree allows. I always have a spare prussik on my harness for this, easy and quick to whip on and off even if you don't normally climb on prussik. Also good to have for rescues.
  21. Its basically a different tuned 550xp I believe - I've had my 545 about a year and love it, the only other 50cc saw I would consider would be the dolmar.
  22. I've got a 365 x torq with a 20" bar, I think it might deal with a 24" at a push but that's it...
  23. As above, or consider a Husqvarna 365 with 20" bar for similar price. Take care cutting stuff that size from telehandler, especially if you're not used to it
  24. I would hazard a guess at Horley, Surrey
  25. I climbed on a trusty Weaver until about month ago, would have got another but struggled to find anywhere that sold them! After trying on many different harnesses I went for the Stein Vega, it seems to have good support and comfy, you create your own gear loops so it can be as minimal or busy as you want
