  1. I've got the AA Fungi on Trees book. Just looked up your book- might get in future! Is the fungi harmful? It's a mature Ash in my field at home. About 15 years ago i dug a pond near it. It knocked the foliage back for a year or 2 with root damage, but not seen any fungus on til this one..
  2. I would NOT recommend the 18v for hedge laying. The 36v rear handle would be much better.

  7. Yes correct👍. I have the 18v and 36v top handle and 36v rear handle. The top handle seems to have more power than the rear handle. The 18v has more or less taken over from the Silky Sugoi..Hedgecutters have not been that reliable but worth it with the 3yr.warranty..

  11. Got an apple tree that would get scabby fruit. It seems to be ok last couple of years. Prob just a fungal spot.?

  13. 👍Hundreds or more hybrids so sometimes just guesswork. Grown a few from seed and sometimes offspring nothing like the mother...
  14. Think leaves too narrow- more like viminalis(osier)- poss a hybrid..branches do look like Crack..
  15. Spikes help with climbing some trees, not necessary on others. Problem with working in rain- all gear gets p!$$ wet through. I used to work all weathers- now i don't bother..
  16. In North America they use them on conifers- they prob got thick bark. Not good practice on trees in UK...
  17. Spikes only used on trees that are being removed- not used on trees that are being kept. Damages bark and lets disease in...
  18. I think it can make your skin photosensitive- rash when exposed to sunlight. So wear gloves,etc...
