  10. Any advice please on cutting palm trees down? I think Chusan Palms. Do fibres jam the sprockets? A lot of leaves at the top. Maybe A blow torch first🔥A few years ago I had to use brushcutter blade for cordylines. These have a few obstacles in the garden to avoid, so will need doing in sections. Not big trees, maybe 18ft.max Thanks
  11. Never judge a willow by it's haircut. Six months time- unrecognisable 🕺

  14. Timber Croc Log Holder for Chansaw TIMBERCROC.COM Our flagship product, The Timber Croc Log Holder is designed and manufactured in Ireland and is... Old thread - anymore experience of the timber croc? Are the cheaper ones as good or just crocs of shit? For small scale firewood processing ( not requiring splitting) would a timber croc type and chainsaw be faster than using a circular saw ( with 'moving bench' type).. personally I'm thinking chainsaw be quicker for small stuff?? Considering a branch logger which looks quickest by a long way- just that's a lot of sticks to get the money back on cost. Crytec one bigger engine and much cheaper than the Eastern European ones- but they seem to sell stuff for a while then discontinue?? Parts maybe an issue..
  15. Correction- it shows Foxwood in stock.£4800 nearly. Bit dear when a Chinese equivalent for £3k less- albeit cheaper components.
  16. I looked on their website but it just showed an older model and was out of stock 🙁
  17. X-SERIES™ | Wood Chippers SKARPER® SKARPER-PROFESSIONAL.COM SKARPER® X-SERIES™ compact wood chippers: Precision-engineered for arborists. Unmatched speed... Anyone know much about these? They look a lot more refined than the previous models. Wondered if the same company? Were the previous Dutch? I'm not sure if Haeksler(?) and them were supposed to be from same company ( and Foxwood??) Can't find a UK dealer but they look as if they'd be very expensive...
  18. Yes, buy a good Bulldog spade. Forged in India, shafted in Wigan (might need fact checking) .
  19. If the govt wants to ban/outlaw anything then give life imprisonment to all the tw@ts that burn plastic on bonfires. My pet fu¢king hate.

  21. It might not be that bad an idea- depends on who else is doing them in your area. I'm on my 5th 'inspector' in about 15 years. 2 stopped doing them, one was too expensive ( about 75% dearer), one never replied to messages. So if you're reliable and reasonably priced I'd say there is a market.
