  1. Is a timber Croc worth £145 plus free postage or is there better out there. For example the forest master which is similar at £60 something pound
  2. just seen a 357xp on done deal but it has an aftermarket barrel and piston. Does this mean its rubbish
  3. Went to my local dealer today. He has a 2007 455 rancher with 20" blade. He's looking £200 for it. He was also trying to push me a new ms311 for £450. Is the 455 rancher as good a saw as the 041
  4. I thought the 041 was 5.5hp and the biggest listed there 4 something
  5. I've been doing a bit more research and I think I've narrowed it down to a 346xp 357xp ms260 and ms280. Whichever comes up first in good condition. I'm guessing about £300
  6. What other second hand saws should I be considering. I was hoping £300 would sort me but if not I'd rather buy once
  7. My father has a stihl 041av. He's had it from new and its never needed anything. The bolts came loose in exhaust last week and broke a lug off. I repaired it for him but or dealer said that you can no longer get parts for them. I now want my own saw because if something else happens his saw ill not be fit to listen to him. What reliable second or new saw should I replace it with. All the new saws seem very low powered now and I'm reading stories on here about all sorts of problems with saws. It sounds like they are scrap compared to what they used to be Would a 357xp be a good saw. They still seem pretty expensive
