    Large saw

Hi mate, Hampshire garden machinery near romsey hire a 3120 with 42" b&c, nice guys over there, very helpful
  2. same here, i havent stopped yet, did my first cut last year on march 5th,was cutting up till xmas eve,wen i go back on monday ill be cutting again
  3. should take an adapter , then fit a universal head
  4. big slf fan too, only seen them once tho,1990 i think, get a life tour,we were right at the front, deaf for a day after, happy days
  5. victoria hall was a "charged gbh" haunt aswell, they are still going today, good you tube vid of them in 83
  6. i love punk music,im 45 and still try to get to a few gigs, saw the exploited a couple of years ago, cracking night, sub humans ,uk subs and anti nowhere league still play regularly round here
  7. how often do you have to do that :001_tt2:
  8. i would say that makitas are blue versions of dolmars, surely dcs stands for dolmar chain saw, im sure tcd and shavey will correct me if im wrong, great saws whatever the colour ! back to op tho, do you really need a full pro saw for cutting firewood ?
  9. taking the rakers down too much will make it grabby and you will constantly bog the saw down, not enough and you wont cut anything, its a fine line between the two, get a depth gauge for rakers to keep a happy medium between tooth and raker height
  10. drop into your local/nearest dealer and ask if you can try out a few saws, its all about personal preference imo.
  11. what happens to chain speed on saws like this ? my c/saw strides and boots are rated 20m/s are they still within regulation with a ported saw ? Crazy saw btw
  12. i have 2 of these blowers and have no problems whatsoever with either of them,if yours has issues then it should go back to the dealer, if you bought a new car and it started playing up after 3 months, you wouldnt get your screwdriver out and start pissing around with it would you, and as someone else said , you shouldnt have to keep adjusting hi/lo screws. Hope you get it sorted
  13. if its only 3 months old i would take back to dealer under warranty
  14. i take it you have checked the sprock nose is free? right chain for the bar ? bar bent ?
  15. should be a nutter with a 30" tbh
  16. used my new jonny 2188 today(same as 390 xp) 28", nose buried in oak,i couldnt bog it,fantastic grunt, something is amiss if you are running a 24" and not happy, mine is a skip chain admittedly , but a 395 should be a nutter with a 24" as stubby said
  17. should fly even with a 30" and fairly quick with a 36",sprocket nose bar ? solid nose will drain the power Quick test for compression, decomp out, pick saw up by rope, should hang there for eternity if it has good compression
  18. £60 A METER , plus gate and fitting, plus trellis, id be looking around the 4k mark, without taking out the old fencing !!, nothing wrong with your pricing mate
  19. my husky 99's are fine cut ! look the same as your stihls. ps, never mind new hedge cutters you need to get the leafblower out lol:laugh1:
