we used to have terra nova chainsaw boots,eyelets looked like 8mm hex nuts, strong boot but heavy,1985 ish

i use single side for fine hedges and double side for rough hedges,i would go for stihl 81r, for rough work but dont expect it to cut thick gnarly blackthorn etc,as others have said half inch max else they will be foobarred in no time

had 2 rangers,1 king cab and 1 double cab, suicide doors on the king cab make good access to the rear ,plenty of room in back,both good trucks

slightly different but my jonsered brushcutter was playing up in the heat on thursday,same problem with hot start,funnily enough started easily with choke ? thought i would give it a try,nothing to lose and seemed to sort out hot starting -

didnt really use it that much tbh mate, the money funded a jonnny 2165 and a 2149,dont really need the big boys much these days.

kwak engine,seems to cope well,yes could do with the handle supports,they seem a bit flimsy but all good apart from that

and dont spill weed killer on it,i wrecked a whole 360 metre spool of line doing this !! will bear in mind about the low revs, altho my big jonsered only needs half throttle at most even in heavy growth

right then, my dealer supplied me with a sarp 19 inch, what a piece of kit !! fan assisted collection,shaft drive etc, pretty much the same as the lawnflite, made by kaaz. wednesday was raining steady most of the morning and she worked admirably,only downfall is the weight but ramps into back of van is the way to go. will definately change all my hayters over time to these mowers

as said above,strimming around posts and walls will wear your line down quickly,keep revs as low as possible,im using oregon 2.4 round at the moment,its utter c£££,i have found the best all round line is the stihl orange 2.4mm and 2.7mm for the rougher stuff

my main point in posting the frankensaw was to A, Have a laugh and B, i was quite pleased that i got a meteor kit for my saw rather than paying top money for an oem part, i dont profess to be a saw modder, just pleased that i completed the work myself. i thought i would post incase anyone else was having a similar idea about getting a meteor kit for their saw. i didnt realise i had committed a crime in calling my saw a frankensaw

fed up with my hayters not picking up in the wet, does anyone use lawnflite pro,they are supposed to be good for wet grass ??im in the market for new mower and i think this may be the way to go, will eventually change all my hayters

used my high lift for getting roots out, if you have an anchor point even better as you can use it like a winch,cut any stubborn roots off with old axe/grub axe, job done

dont bother unless the ground is sandy,you hit a root or a flint and its painfull at best,i really dont think they are of much use unless you have the 2 man job for large posts and even then i would prefer to have a hydraulic one on a machine,imho dont bother with a one man auger,more trouble than its worth.

rosate 360 or gallop 360 (glyphosate) will do the job
