  1. hi mate, maybe of some help, took my bed off my ranger but that was a double cab,so bed bit shorter, but 3 of us lifted it off, could have done it with 2 but bit awkward, i reckon it weighed no more than 200 kilos,so full bed would be 300 kilos ish hope that helps mike
  2. thanks mate, i will need to check if they will fit the front hubs as there seems to be 2 sizes? mike
  3. Does anyone have any original style 15" alloys for mk 1 ranger, tried ebay etc cheers
  4. 268xp is a full pro saw and a 61 is a farm saw really,268xp will wipe the floor with it every time, i would run it 3/8ths and no more than an 18 inch bar
  5. spot on there mate i reckon:thumbup1:
  6. i would be charging something like that,2 blokes would need to get at least 10 done a day to make half decent money, i would go with £3.50 p/m labour, and 10% on top of material cost.
  7. thats some very nice work there
  8. a lot of cutting/measuring but ,make most of your frame as normal, when you get to where your curve is going to be,make that part as a 10/12 sided piece, ie make 5 degree cuts on you frame and join with noggins from behind, sand corners down then overhang your deck boards by an inch , i have had good results doing it this way
  9. no mate, the slot in the bar will probably be 14mm

    Bigger Bars

ported engines, sprockets, skip chains will allow bigger bars on smaller engined saws
  11. i adapted an oregon bar to fit my dolmar 9000,does yours have the 14mm mount, you can get the smaller bar studs to fit husky mount but takes a while from dolmar
  12. that is a lot of concrete, was it haunched at the top, this helps a lot with the rot, fair play to you for getting it out
  13. my 153 went to chainsaw heaven because i couldnt get parts and that was 12 years ago!
  14. offer him £250 to start with
  15. loved my 153 (mrs with it in avatar|) but parts are rare now,but who cares , buy it !
  16. yes as above, been caught out when customer orders wrong/crap materials, roll of stock is £50 ish, posts £4 ish,if it needs to be strained then you will need 2 strainers and 2 struts(grandma and egg sucking) plus wire and staples, plus days labour for 1 man, id be needing £350 for the job, hope this helps, mike
  17. 750mm in the ground by the looks of it,was done correctly
  18. 3.0m bays ,morticed or face fixed, unless customer wants 2.4m spacings
  19. just grub it out, never had regrowth from the ones ive taken out
  20. i have the opposite problem, my legs are like a ballerina with an eating disorder lol
  21. £50-68 per metre on closeboard, depending on height and if it morticed or face fitted, panel jobs normally price per bay, all depending on old concrete,if it has to be gunned out then its a bit of a lottery, you can easily lose an hour just getting one old gnarley lump of concrete out, then you have to fill the whole with new gear, if you can bridge old posts then all the better.had some right bas%%%s in my time and domestic stuff is normally the worst, allow plenty on the job if youre in doubt
  22. im in the process of making one, going to make a tripod with one of those ratchet pullers, cant see why it wouldnt work
  23. never seen them, there are chink copies of husky 365 that are very convincing, i was looking at the 2171 for £599, VERY TEMPTED
  24. they must be working at a loss for that money, wouldnt bother getting out of bed for less than £45 p/m, 1.8 m is £60 p/m round my way, clearance and disposal extra
  25. i use a 2150, great all round saw,not pro but a good saw all the same, buy it at that price!!
