4. been to visit my elderly folks today, they have just been presented with an electric bill for £400, most of which i can make out is from there outdated storage heaters, is there a newer type of storage heater available that is more cost effective, no gas supply to where they live, so has to be electric, and dont need the hassle of an open fire as they are both in their late 80's
5. id be up or that, would love to learn hedge laying, send me a pm, cheers mike
6. 1st thing to do is try to start the machine with no attachments thus ruling out jammed cutter bar, get some wd 40 on the blades, move manually with a screwdriver to get them free (possibly just rust/gunk jamming them, make sure the gear in the shaft mates properly with the gear in the head of the strimmer or hedge cutter, always use fresh 2 stroke mix, clean your spark plug, if the machine has been sitting all winter,it could need a major service, good luck
7. mulch blade , but mind your knackers lol,as others have said, wear your chainsaw strides or some wax leggings etc
8. yeah just a quick shot with air and wd 40 especially if it been in the wet, as you would with any tools really,i would imagine that there would be fine dust/metal/crap from the paper collation on the nails, etc so always good to give it a good clean once a week
9. clean the mag out daily, service once a week depending on how much its done over the course of the week, i run any nails that are on offer, hitachi, paslode and recently firma hold from screw fix, good nails and gas no problems with either
10. twice in 5 years mate so nothing to worry about, states in the manual how to push it back in,so must be a thing that happens now and again:thumbup1:
11. yes , i would def buy another, the piston didnt go back in to its proper place once, but once you realise what the problem is its sorted in seconds
12. were you near the end of a clip of nails? had my nr 90gc2 for about 5 years now, no probs except cold gas, mine often mis nails when clip is near end, sometimes goes past the 7 nail lock out
13. spot on there mate, fair play for him getting stuck in, love his old work jacket
14. same as above, me and my mate could plant 1200 a day but that was with the wives caning and guarding ,5 per metre staggered row, mixed species,40 -60 cm whips, allow yourself 400 a day on your own
15.
will do mike,07812 439123 in case you need it

16. the op said he was doing a closeboard fence, no channels in posts for this, there are mortises for closeboard, channels for panels:thumbup1:
17. concrete gravel boards normally fit to the post with a metal cleat, the post will have pre drilled holes to accept the cleat, pre drilled hole in gravel board for bolt,to attach cleat to gravel board, arris rails and counter rail will slot into mortises in the post, have an extra pair of hands as you will struggle getting everything into the mortises on your own, good luck and put some pics up when you are done

Hi everyone

noise is good, run a good quality 2 stroke mix in the saw, maybe 40/1 mix also (grandmother sucking eggs etc) my 153 suffered with recoil probs due to no decompressor, but apart from that was a good saw,133 is a highly regarded saw,not the fastest beast in the woods but torquey as hell, good luck with it, damn good saws

Hi everyone

damn good saws in their day,my avatar is a 153,133 is 85cc i think, bomb proof saws, well built but parts are hard to get now, keep an an eye out on the bay for parts, maybe even grab them even if you dont need them, always good to have back up bits
